No one said a word, which didn't affect the blonde man at all. "Who's that guy?" Y/n mumbled, the redhead turned to Y/n and leaned forward, "That's the voice hero, Present Mic." He explained. "Ah, thanks." Y/n nodded, turning back to the front, "Well, that's cool, my examinee listeners!! I'm here to present the guidelines of your practical!! Are you ready?! YEAHH!!" Present Mic yelled out at the quiet crowd.

Y/n shook her head at how awkward this situation was, "This is how the test will go, my listeners! You'll be experiencing ten-minute-long "mock city landscape manoeuvres"!! Bring along whatever you want!! After this presentation, you'll each head to your assigned testing location!! Okay?!" Present Mic asked, earning silence from the crowd again.

"I guess that's so people can't help each other out if they've gone to the same school." Y/n mumbled, "Ohh, that makes a lot of sense." The redhead spoke up once more. Y/n looked at the boy from the corner of her eye but remained quiet.

"Each site is filled with three kinds of faux villains. Points are rewarded for defeating each according to their respective difficulty levels!! Use your quirk to disable these faux villains and earn points! That's your goal, Listeners!" Present Mic shouted.

Out of the corner of her eye, Y/n saw a boy with glasses stand up with his hand raised, "May I ask a question?!" The boy asked. "There appear to be no fewer than four varieties of faux villains on this handout! Such a blatant error, if it is one, is highly unbecoming for U.A., Japan's top Academy!! We're all here today in hopes of being moulded into model heroes!!" The boy said matter-of-factly, pointing to the sheet of paper in his hands.

'He must be one of those know-it-alls. He kind of reminds me of Robin.' Y/n thought, putting her chin on her hand. Suddenly, the bespectacled male whirled around with his finger pointed at someone, when Y/n looked to where his finger was pointed to see the boy she helped earlier.

"And, you, with the curly hair! You've been muttering this whole time ...It's distracting!! If this is some sort of game to you, then please leave immediately!" The boy glared at the curly-haired boy. The other boy covered his mouth and sank in his chair, "Sorry..." He muttered.

"Alright alright. Examinee 7111, nice catch. Thanks! But the fourth faux demon variety gets you zero points! He's more of an obstacle! Have you all played Super Mario Brothers?! It's kind of like a thwomp! Only one at each site! A "Gimmick" that rampages around quarters!" The blonde pro hero explained. Got it. So it's like a stage gimmick to be avoided. Thank you, sir. I apologize for the interruption." The bespectacled boy, said, sitting back in his seat once more.

"Really is like a video game thing." Someone else commented. "That's all for me!! I'll leave my listeners with our school motto. The great hero Napoleon Bonapart once said, "True heroism consists in being superior to the ills of life." Plus ultra!! Break a leg, everyone!!"

Y/n didn't have to do much as a recommended student, she just needed to take the written exam, the practical exam, and an interview. She knew that the exam would be a piece of cake for her as she had superhuman abilities, which would help her with whatever the practical exam was.

Y/n stood by a tree, watching the other recommended students either mingle with each other or stand to the side. Y/n sat back and crossed her legs so that she was floating, which caught the attention of the boy closest to her. Now, the boy could care less about the other contestants in the recommendation exam since he was only there to get stronger than his father, but it did slightly intrigue him that she was able to float and still got recommended.

"Examinee 6111, 2190, 6790, 4209, 1111, and 6643 please step up to the line." A voiceover announced. Y/n uncrossed her legs, but her feet still never touched the ground. She walked up to the line where she stood in between a very tall and well-built young man with buzzed, dark brown hair and black eyes and a relatively tall and a kind of muscular young man with hair evenly split between white on his right side and crimson red on his left.

"For the practical exam, students race six at a time through a three-kilometre-long obstacle course using your quirks to get there as quickly as possible." Present Mic announced. The six contestants readied themselves, waiting for the signal to go, "On your marks, get set, GO
GO GO!!!" Present Mic yelled. Y/n didn't run like she originally planned to, she merely held out a hand, opened a portal and walked through it.

She looked around to see if anyone else had made it, but she was the only one there. What was she supposed to do now? Did she just sit there and wait for the others to finish or was she able to leave? Y/n just decided to meditate nearby while she waited for the others to finish. Fortunately, she didn't have to wait long for the others, or at least two of them, to finish.

Y/n felt a strong breeze and the feeling of coldness against her face, almost knocking off her hood. It took a bit, but the other recommendations made their way to the end of the course. She could feel the eyes of the other examinees on her as they walked around and talked amongst each other. She wanted to ignore them, but she could feel their adrenaline, wariness, confusion, and intrigue.

She could also hear them whispering about her, but she wasn't bothered. It was all stuff she had heard before and she heard worse from people she was supposed to be close to.

"What a freak."

"What's with the hood? Is she that ugly?"

"I wonder what her quirk is."

"I'd ask, but she makes me nervous."

"What's with them? They're so unnerving."

Y/n couldn't care less about what they were saying about her, but the two pairs of eyes boring into the side of her head did bother her. Y/n opened her eyes and looked to her left to find the duel-haired boy staring at her, Y/n raised an eyebrow at him before turning back around. She definitely wasn't in the mood for interaction with humans and that included the confrontation of a boy with a staring problem.

She just wanted to go home. She didn't even interact with anyone and her social meter is full. "Good grief," Y/n muttered, shutting her eyes again and going back to her meditation.
