3rd person pov
they couldn't stay there any longer, the killer knew where they were. the killers could get them right now as the door was open and the lock wasn't all the way down. they could be killed right now and they thought about Alex. where was he? didn't he hear the gunshot? why wasn't he coming towards them right now? why wasn't he helping? Veah helped Katya up as they looked around and saw that the killer was gone but junas body wasn't. her head was gone and she was slumped against the wall of the shack.
"don't look," Veah told Katya as she covered her eyes and held her body close to hers. dora stood up and made sure that she was close to Katya so she couldn't open her eyes and look at Juna from behind. veah held the girl as she sobbed into her and she didn't stop her. Veah was pissed, the girl who they called Sunshine was crying and she couldn't do anything about it.
"what do we do?" Dora asked and Veah looked at the girl and then at junas body and then at Katya. then she thought about Alex and where he was but she didn't care. she had to get the three of them out of there and now as fast as she could.
"We keep moving, don't look back, we find somewhere else to hide and we go from there. there's nothing else we can do unless we track down the killers and kill them right now." veah suggested but she knew that Katya wasn't in the right mindset to kill anyone right now and she wouldn't force her too. That was too harsh and rude of her and she hated that she could convince someone to do that and she didn't want to.
"yeah okay," Dora said and they walked out of the shack with Katya. she wouldn't let her look, she couldn't. the idea that Katya could turn any second and see her girlfriend's dead body was something horrible and the idea that Veah did look made her feel horrible. she didn't want to do this anymore. she wanted them dead and they would be soon.
she just needed to find a way to stop them but she didn't know how to right now but she knew where they had to go and what they had to do. so she led them there. there was a room, the security room with cameras and everything. she knew one of them had to be in there waiting which wouldn't make it easier but she had to do it. she didn't tell them her idea, dora would be pissed if she found out the plan and veah didn't want that.
"v, whats your plan?" dora asked her and veah froze for a second. katya froze next to her with her head still resting in the crook of the girls neck and she stayed there. veah wanted to keep her from seeing any of this and if meant holding her close to her and not letting her see anything she would handle that.
"one we have to get her some place safe where she can stay there and not die and then we go on from there. i don't know what I'm doing but I'm trying to keep everyone alive" she stated and dora grabbed the girls face
"I can't lose you and she can't either, you need to think this through" dora told veah as she looked at katya and then at dora again. the air around them was thick and they were all thinking the same thing even though they didn't want to admit it
" I know and ill be safe , I promise" she told her and dora searched her eyes to see if she was lying but it was clear that she was telling the truth and that made her feel a little bit better about the whole thing and everything around them.
"fine but you better come back to me" dora told her
"always" veah agreed and dora kissed her forehead before they began to walk to the safe space that veah mentioned. when they got there, veah opened the door and walked in with the two girls. she sat down on the floor and katya sat down next to her as they all stared at the ceiling and then at each other
"what am I supposed to do?" katya finally spoke and dora looked at veah.
"you keep moving, you let it hurt, you let yourself feel what you need to and you grow. you know that the world took something from you that shouldn't have been taken from you ever and it hurts so you do what anyone would you and you let the pain settle in. you scream and you cry and you feel everything youre supposed to feel. when that's over, you get up and think about how you're going to live and grow. you think about what yourengoing to do and how this is always going to hurt but its apart of life and we all have to let someone go" she told her and dora stared
"how do you know that?" katya asked and veah sighed
"because its the way of life and we can't always hope for the best but we keep going. its what everyone does but there's a stupid fucking killer" dora stated
"where even is that pussy of a killer? what is he waiting for?" she now said and veah looked at dora
"I don't know, one of us to split up so they can catch us but we won't do that. we have each other and that's enough. " veah said and the two girls nodded. they now thought about alex and veah had one thought
what if it was alex? what would they do then?
