It was him, the man who had stolen Alex as a child. There eyes locked as Mark draws for his machete, The man looking with anger and hatred in his eyes. The man swings his sword as mark ducks under neath it nearly slicing his head. Mark in a fit of Rage then chopped his serrated machete into the man's chest.
The man's lifeless body drops to floor and once again mark and Alex are one.
Together, father and son emerged from the shadows of the stronghold, walking away from the desolation, their steps now guided by the hope of rebuilding a new world, one where the echoes of the past would never overshadow the promise of tomorrow.
