"It has been a treat these past few weeks." Melissa taught to herself, sitting behind a desk with her legs folded over one another. What she taught was different from the expression of annoyance she had on her face.
"My lady." Melissa's personal maid called her attention as she was holding a basket full of letters.
"The Duke is waiting outside wanting to see you. Perhaps it is about your sudden popularity?" She put the basket down on the desk.
"I think so too, I don't know why everyone is now sending me letters and inviting me to parties." Melissa had stated blunted as she folded her hands over her chest and rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"We should not keep the Duke Waiting, my lady." The Maid Spoke once again bowing at Melissa.
