"Go check on the other one." The other one? Who was the other one? Clary or Simon? The man opened the door and I got the scent of Chinese food. Where the fuck was I?

"Where is the cup?" The guy asked. "Tell us where it is?"

The door opened and the guy came back in holding a rag to his face making me smile. It was slowly turning red. The other guy slapped my face making me close my eyes in pain.

"He's gone." The one mumbled through the cloth.

"What do you mean he's gone?!" The door opened and then closed. The men were silent.

"What are you two doing?" I recognized that voice. I tilted my head to the side seeing Luke. He punched one guy and then the other knocking them down.

"Luke?"

"We have to go," He muttered as he tried to get me to stand up.

"My hands are tied. I can't—."

"I have to get you out of here first," He tilted my head to the side before pulling me up off the chair.

"Why did you lie?"

"I know Lena, I know, but we tried to do it for your good," He gave me a sad smile.

The blood rushed to my head as he put me over his shoulder in a fireman carry. He walked out of the building as we made it onto gravel. I looked to the side seeing shipping containers. The noise of the water was not too far off.

"I'll try to explain everything later. It will all make sense soon."

"Put her down!" Someone kicked the back of his knee. He collapsed to the ground. My body went with him I braced for hitting the ground, but I didn't. I was in someone's arms.

"Linny," Green eyes. His hands touched my face making sure I was conscious before he cut my hands and ankles free.

"Jace," I stopped him from hitting Luke again. He could barely get up off the ground. "Don't. Don't. Let's just go." I shoved him forward. My other hand went to my face gently moving over the damage.

"Who broke your face?" Jace asked his finger close to me. I slapped his hand away.

"I'll break yours if you keep reminding me."

"Do you realize how stupid that was?" Alec asked. "For you both to go out like that on your own? Do you know just how many Clave rules you've broken?"

"A lot," I nodded. "I know. It comes with being a Fairchild or so I've been told." Alec cursed under his breath as we walked back toward the entrance.

"Lena," Simon smiled. "Good, they found you. I wasn't sure, what was happening?"

"It was you?" I pointed. "The other one they had." He nodded.

"You hit him didn't you?" Simon asked with a slight smile.

"He was right in my face," I waved my hand in his face. Izzy grinned.

"That's my girl," I pulled my handle free the blade forming as we walked farther onto the gravel just outside the Jade Wolf.

"Great place to take a girl," I breathed. Alec grabbed my head moving it to the side as he moved the Stele over my run. Growls erupted behind us.

"Shit," Jace said. Alec let go of my neck pulling his bow free. When I turned with him we both saw the wolves. They seemed to come from everywhere.

"Simon, don't move," Izzy said.

"If their behind me. I'm going to cry." Simon breathed.

I waved for him to slowly come toward us. Alec drew an arrow as a black wolf jumped from the shipping containers and snapped its teeth. Alec stepped in front of me slightly, but another wolf tackled it from the side. A brown wolf.
