Present Day

"Jason's dead" were the two most traumatizing words that shocked every person in Riverdale who once lived and knew the Blossom family. I heard those same words from my best friend Betty Cooper over the phone while I packed for Riverdale, we were moving back

"You mean The Jason Blossom?" I asked confirming I heard right

"Yes, Kate" she replied as I jumped off the bed, I thought my arrival would surprise my friends but this news was way more shocking

"I know your family is not on good terms with the Blossoms, but..." she stated

"Even so, There's no reason for me to be happy he was someone's family, he was a kid just like us," I said pacing around the room trying to process what I'd just heard

"Yeah"

"How's Polly holding up?"

"I hope she's okay. My parents must have told her about it though" she said as I hummed in response

"I hope so too, take care, Betty. I'll come to visit when I get the chance" I replied as we ended our conversation

"Jason, but how and why?" I thought walking out of my room
