Finally, Alaric made an appearance and got the crowd to settle down.

"Quiet, everyone.
The assembly is about to start.
First of all good morning to all of you.
I know it's an early rise and it's almost the end of the week so most of you cannot wait to get this over with so I'll be quick.

In the last few days, it has come to my attention that a few students have attempted to cause harm to our property and to each other. The ethics of this school strictly forbids magic to be used in such harmful ways. However, I know that another punishment would not boost your morale and motivation and love for this school and that is not exactly in anyone's favour here. On the contrary, I would like those given students to organise a fun whole school sleepover, right here in the hall.
On Saturday night, I would like to invite all of witches, werewolves and vampires for movie night that would potentially involve some civilised socialising with the chance of getting to know each other and forgetting all about our differences.

Fights or any other negative behaviour is strictly forbidden and will be heavily punished after that point on. This is your chance for a fresh start, to make new friends or get together with old ones. No matter what kind of creature you are, you can still enjoy the same things as a united front for a night."

Some students started cheering and clapping at the end of the speech, others (mostly werewolves) grunted their teeth and found this to be absolutely ridiculous. Not only they would have to sacrifice their Saturday night to stay in school but they would also have to deal with witches and vampires all in one room. This sounded like a disaster, at first.

After Friday classes were finished, Penelope and her group of friends started organising the sleepover event by setting up fairy lights all over the windows, digging up spare mattresses and pillows for the floor while others were busy preparing all sorts of snacks and setting up the appropriate equipment consisting of a big white screen, speakers and a projector. All was going fairly well when one of the wolves passed by the hall and peaked in without permission.

"Isn't is a little early for all this shit? We need the hall for practice tonight."

Penelope approached the boy who was now standing in the doorway defensively.

"Well, if we had everyone's help this could be set up within minutes but since nobody is actually willing to move a finger this had to be done tonight."

"Nobody asked for our help in the first place."

"That's because we knew the answer already."

"Wow, you have us all figured out.
Bravo."

"Once an asshole, always an asshole."

Jed grunted his teeth together angrily and released a growl at the witch who didn't even look a tad intimidated.

"Are you seriously going to play hero with five witches in the room? The odds are not exactly in your favour."

"No, but if you don't empty the hall by tonight I promise I won't be coming alone next time."

Having heard the conversation Elizabeth rolled her eyes and walked lazily toward the entrance where the argument was taking place.

"I assure you if you do anything stupid, my dad will hear all about this. You don't want to fail the school year again, do you Jed?"

"Shut up!"

"You'll probably end up looking like an old man by the time you graduate."

"I said shut up!!"

"Byeee now."

Lizzie shoved the boy out of the door and closed it, while Penelope laughed.

"You are amazing, Elizabeth Saltzman."

"You should try being more like me then."

The blonde turned her back and went back to preparing the snacks for tomorrow. Penelope chased after her, trying to figure out why the blonde sounded so annoyed just then.

"Is there a problem?"

"You are the fucking problem, don't you see it P?"

"Excuse me?"

"You just ruin everything. You would have ruined this too if I didn't stop you."

"You seriously care so much about a fucking sleepover?"

"No I care about my sister. How many times will you send her crying back to our room??"

"Break ups are rough, deal with it."

"No! You're absolutely destroying her by going around and throwing yourself to everyone."

"Hah are you slut shaming me, really?

"I'm just saying you gotta take it down a notch. You know how sensitive Josie is."

"Well, then she shouldn't have broken up with me. If she can't stand to see me with other people then that's her problem."

"Saltzman!
Park!
Are you two gonna argue all night or actually help us??'
