A Venomin Ape sat still unmoving on the edge of his seat facing a screen that displayed the bridge in a Venomin Flagship overseeing the planet that was to be invaded. Planet Cornaria. Although the Cornarians know that they're coming. If anything, it will be just like the previous Lylat Wars, glorious dog-fights, watching the famed mercenary teams Starfox and team Starwolf fight each other in a special dance among the stars,  just like old times. At least, that's what the Cornarians think. They know the Venomins are coming, they just don't know when.

The Venomin Ape smiled mischievously as he rubbed his hands together before turning to the crew in the bridge who were awaiting orders behind their controls. He turned his microphone on.

"Commander Imp, do you read?" The Venomin asked leaning towards the screen.

"I read you Bowman. Carrier groups and fighters are ready for the invasion. We'll crush the Mutts this time!"  Commander Imp replied as a Venomin ape in a green officer's uniform walked in front of the camera saluting the man behind it.

"Very good, I'll be sure to take the Venomins where my ancestors failed too. Launch the invasion on primary targets. Keep in mind, Starwolf is NOT available. Establish portals in Major cities to send ground forces to establish footholds." Bowman ordered with a wide grin prompting a salute from Commander Imp.

"Yes sir, launching invasion force now. Estimated time for initiation is ... 2 hours." Commander Imp stated after glancing off-camera.

"Good, I'll be monitoring your progress from here. Bowman out." The Venomin ape stated shutting off the communication feed on his monitor before switching to another screen. His expression soured a little, but still maintained a sly smile.

"Admiral Orangutan. How is the puppeteering?" Bowman questioned setting his fingers onto his desk.

"Easy." The Venomin Admiral replied simply. "Too easy. With all due respect Bowman, how do we know if this method of mind-control is secure? Why didn't we just put brain implants in them?" Admiral Orangutan questioned.

"Just so you know, most of it IS technology, but it wouldn't have happened if not for the Cernian leaving Starfox." Bowman lectured while pointing upward.

"I do understand that Bowman, however the technology for that is on the front lines along with one back on Venom, and if anything were to happen to the front line source, another battle of Earth would occur and everyone dies and we lose half of our puppets." Admiral Orangutan explained expressing concern in his voice as he gripped his the ledge of his desk.

"That's why I've tasked Starwolf along with the 40th Defense Brigade to watch over the transmutation station. You know its location is always on the move. Besides, I personally constructed it, tested it, I know its secure." Bowman added as he leaned back into his seat. Admiral Orangutan paused briefly before replying.

"If you say so Bowman. The Puppets are being prepped  as we speak, and are readying for the invasion of Cornaria. The Cornarians will be ready for the attack like the last war, but they will be skinned alive by our puppets." Admiral Orangutan commented.

"Ensure that the puppets are on standby for phase two. Bowman out." Bowman stated before he powered his communicator off. He then grabbed his uniform hat as he left his office into an elevator where he entered a code leading the doors to shut and begin a long descent down in the abyss of Venom.
