Summer 2017, at SKT T1 Teamhouse

The teamhouse was as lively as always. Wolf and Bang bickering friendly banter, Peanut and Sky chiming in once in a while, Huni and Blank laughing from the sidelines while munching some snacks, Faker playing another game of Soloqueue while adding some snarky remarks here and there.

The liveliness of the house suddenly quieted down once Kkoma entered with a smile on his face, alerting his players of a new announcement- a relatively important one.

“We've a new member today, team. Welcome your little sister, Shinsoku.”

Coach Kkoma announced as he slightly walked to the side, revealing a short, skinny young girl wearing the SKT T1 jersey with long, jet-black hair and onyx-like eyes. She seemed shy, her eyes averting the gazes of the boys.

Annyeonghaseyo, I-I look forward to working with y-you.”

The young girl named Shinsoku said, her voice depicting of youth; soft and laced with anxiety. Yet, another thing about the new player brought the attention of the players.

"Kochi, is she half?"

Huni voiced the question every member had. The way she spoke korean sounded off— maybe it was her anxiety taking the better of her, but it looked like that wasn't the case. To their surprise, Kkoma shaked his head.

“No, she is a pure Filipino. Real name Kim Jeong-Hui, her role is a substitute support until 2019.”

With their coach's response, all the players made shocked noises, both loud and quiet. Kkoma directed Shinsoku to one of the chairs, with her following immediately. She was quiet, shy, and quite nervous— it reminded Kkoma of Faker when he first joined SKT T1.

As Shinsoku slowly got comfortable with being around the players, Kkoma decided to leave her and the boys alone for some get-to-know time while he talks with the analysts about the upcoming games.

“Shinsoku-dongsaeng, nice to meet you! I'm Han Wangho, but you can just call me Wangho-oppa~”

Peanut was the first of all the players to interact with the new member, his outgoing and happy personality contrasted Shinsoku's shy and gloomy one. Shinsoku continues to avert her eyes as she softly nods her head in acknowledgement.

“Okay, Wangho-oppa.”

Peanut smiled at her response. Although she was still getting time to get comfortable with the boys, Peanut knew she was a good person.

“What hobbies do you do, Shinsoku-dongsaeng? I'm Kim Haneul, but you can call me Haneul-oppa.”

Sky was the next to strike a conversation with the new member. She seemed hesitant at first, but eventually relents and answers the question.

“I play LoL, Haneul-oppa…”

“I meant outside of that, dongsaeng…”

“…I play games…”

“What kind of games, dongsaeng?”

“…a variety…”

“Like?”

“Like…rhythm games…and RPGs and stuff…”

“Ohh! You must be quite the gamer, then!”

“N-not really…I only play them from time to time…”

Kkoma suddenly appeared from the other room and called the team, leaving the young member by herself. She heaved a sigh of relief, her shoulders no longer tense as she leans back on the chair, seemingly more relaxed and comfortable by herself than with other people.
