Chapter 91

Sid was sitting on her bed holding his bed in his hands. His tears had dried up and he was left with no energy after crying so much. Avu brought water for him.

Avu: Siddharth

Sid: Hmm?

He asked looking up. She forwarded the glass of water. He shooked his head at first.

Avu: Have it you will feel better

Sid held the glass from her with a sarcastic chuckle to which Avu frowned.

Sid: You said the same thing earlier also when I got ready to share my all problems with you. By sharing your problem with someone, you will feel better. Thanks by the way

Sid drank water.

Avu: See I understand I could not find any solution to your problem but I am sure you might have felt better

Sid: I did. Honestly. But now after recalling each and everything, all the pain I have endured over the years, it is causing much more pain now, much more stress now. I don't know how I will bare it. Can you help me?

He looked up straight into her eyes. Not complaining or showing aggression this time. He begged in desperation. The pain in his voice shooked Avu from inside deeply. That moment she felt like taking away all his pains even if she had to suffer in place of him. She herself didn't know when he become so important to her that she was not just desperate to end his every single sorrow but even ready to bare his agony at his place. Avu sat down on chair trying to think of something. She massaged her temples. Then she finally broke the silence among them.

Avu: Siddharth. I am sorry. Honestly I don't have any solution to your problem as of now because it is something too unique I never even imagined something like this even existed in this world

Sid sighed sadly. But Avu was quick enough to speak.

Avu: But I promise you that I would try to think about it and try to find a solution

Sid: Really?

He looked at her with a lots of hope wishing what he heard was true and someone would think about him and not just think would try to think how to solve his problem. Avu hesitated at first but then eventually gave in seeing his innocent look with which he was seeing her with so much expectations. So she nodded slowly and he literally got tears in his eyes.

Sid: Thank you so much

He said in a teary voice and words died in his throat as he was extremely overwhelmed to react.

Avu: I would Siddharth. But you need to give me time. I don't really know anything about all this

Sid nodded.

Sid: When I have suffered so much already for such a long time. Then some more won't hurt. Atleast now I have a hope that I would get some solution. Thank you Avneet

Avu nodded.

Avu: But now you need to leave Siddharth. It's really risky for you to be here at this point of time. So please go from here and kindly don't come here in girls hostel at this time ever. You are way too innocent to get away from here. So please don't even get yourself in any trouble which you can't get out of. If you ever want to meet me late at night, please call me up and we can go on terrace or walk in lawn but not here. Please I request you. It will be a lot of problem for the two of us. I hope you understand

She said taking his hands in hers. Then he realized she had stood up from her chair and walked towards him. He stood up.

Sid: I am really sorry Avneet. I would have never done anything like this ever. I don't know what got in me today. I am so sorry Avneet. This won't ever repeat. I swear

Avu cupped his face.

Avu: Siddharth calm down. It's okk. I know you this much by now. You won't do anything like this. I understand

Then they realized how close they were and Avu immediately backed off.

Sid: I should leave now

Avu nodded trying not to look at him. Avu helped him sneaking out of the hostel. She came back and let out a breath in relief. She could not realize what was the tension about they had between them today. It was something new. And she couldn't think anything except their closeness. Their was something special about it. Although friends don't get this close physically normally but they were not even friends. But their closeness did not make her uncomfortable at all. But for now she didn't have time to recognize that she had something else to worry about and ponder over. Her feelings could wait.
