"mikey let's not do this now-"

"if not now then when?" she flares her arms in the air.

"i mean they literally put us in here to talk about it." she informed the obvious.

he folds his bottom lip under his top lip, a sign of shame.

"so answer my question, why would you kiss me if you were gonna ignore me?" she yells loudly.

sharky was taken aback by her tone and the way her brows furrowed in anger.

"do you love me? do you like me? do you hate me? just answer a question." she shook her head at him.

he widens his eyes slightly.

"i can't sleep at night because of that kiss and you look perfectly fine." the girl told him.

she knew he wasn't fine, everyone knew it, but he was acting it and that was just as worse.

sharky flinched, at just the sight of her.

he should've done his research.

how to look someone in the eye and pretend to not love them?

"if you're here all okay, i just think it's pointless to think to you at all.

"come on sharky, i know what your gonna say." the girl nods.

"what am i gonna say?" he mumbles.

she taps her foot on the floor with a sigh.

"it was just a mistake mikey, it never should've happened." the girl mocks his voice while holding in cries.

"just make it easy for me to walk away, say it didn't matter."

her words cut deep like a knife both in each others skin.

drawing the same amount of blood.

the boy shook his head walking up to her making her step back.

he huffs air from his mouth in sadness.

"mikey it wasn't a mistake, and i'll never apologize for it." he swallows harshly.

the blondes eyes going to his for a split second he thought he saw her awaken.

the mikey he knew, he thought she was pushed awake from this persona.

"then why are you treating me like this" she whispers to him.

it was quiet.

for only a second.

"it's not that easy."

it wasn't honestly.

deep down she knew it too.

you can't go from only being best friends for life to making out.

it wasn't easy, it never will be.

"just answer the question," she asks her eyes closed while saying.

he placed his hands in his pockets, eyes leading onto her face.

she could feel him.

feel his lips on hers, it felt magical to think about it every night.

at least they kissed, at least she got what she wanted, and at least he did too.

sharky couldn't even fathom looking into her hurt eyes knowing he caused it.

he wants her to remember everything he's done for her, everything he's done JUST for her.

does she remember how much he made her smile?

"i just... i can't," he whispers like he was pleading.

mikey then nods while kissing her teeth.

"then i guess that answers my question," she stated.

"mikey please." he begs out for her.

she spun around once again, this time a small smile on her face.

"someone has to leave first. this is a very old story sharks. there is no other version of this story."

the girl then turns on her heel to the door and pressed the knob, surprisingly it flew open.

probably the others hearing the yells.

sharky watched as she walked away from him, for the millionth time.

not even calling out her name or anything, just watching.

maybe she was a brutally soft woman.

or maybe he was just a man crazy in love.
