016. chance to find the one

Start from the beginning

"hey, hey.." liberty lightly patted charley's shoulder, receiving a small hum as she turned her attention to the other. "i'm gonna head home."

"do you want me to come with?"

"no, it's fine," she softly shook her head.

"are you sure?"

"mhm.. you stay, keep having fun. i'll call you in the morning?"

"of course," charley pulled her into a hug, placing a kiss on her lips. "text me when your home, let me know you got there safely."

"i will," she smiled.

"one more kiss?"

liberty kisses charley as asked, then pulling away from her and promising once again to let to know when she's home before saying goodbye to the others and headed out towards the front door.

taking a seat on the steps that lead up to the entrance while she booked an uber back to her place and turned off her phone, gazing around the few people wandering around as she waited.

soon crossing checking with the app, she hoped up, made her way to car, and shared a quick greeting with the somewhat young male driver. an instant feeling of slight worry coming over her — something she usually had never felt going places alone.

"heading home now or partying on?" he asked with a small chuckle.

"home," she softly smiled, not wanting to show any sign of fear. ".. i'm hoping my boyfriend will be up."

"of course a pretty girl like you has a boyfriend," he softly nodded.

"mh.."

liberty looked down at her phone for a second as she unlocked it, sending daniel a quick couple texts while she continued to answer the driver's questions about her so called 'boyfriend'. calling her best friend as he didn't reply, and quickly hanging up once he answered and sending him another text not to call back.

knowing he had her location, she was okay with turning her phone off and not replying to his message as it was making her headache worst and so she could turn her full attention back to the driver.

"sorry, but i'm not feel too well right now, i have a headache.. do you mind if we just listen to the radio or something..?" she switched the topic.

"do you want something to take?" he more so suggested as he opened the centre console.

"oh no thanks," she quickly shook her head. "i already took something.. it just hasn't quite kicked in yet.."

and a little over ten minutes later, and no more talking between the two, they pulled up out the front of liberty's house to see a boy sat on the front porch waiting. putting a smile on her face right away.

"thank you," she spoke to the driver as she let herself out of his car, walking right over to daniel and instantly wrapping their arms around each other. "kiss me please."

"are you sure?" he whispered in her ear, not pulling away from her to show his confusion.

"yes. he's weird. do it."

"okay.." daniel lifted his head up off her shoulder, placing a quick peck on her lips. only to have her chase his, reconnecting and moving them in sync as she wanted to make it more believable.

"is he gone?" she mumbled between their lips.

"mhm," he nodded as he pulled away properly.

"thank you," she simply replied, unwrapping her arms and bringing her attention straight to her bag as she found her house key.

"so.. what was that for?"

"i told him you were my boyfriend," she shrugged, holding the door for him and then shutting it behind him. "i need to get some water and advil."

".. um you didn't think to mention you have a girlfriend instead?" he furrowed, following her through to the kitchen.

"it's just what came out," she turned back around to face him, a slightly confused expression on her face. "and i mean, you're a boy, who's my friend.. and she's not my girlfriend yet.."

"mh, okay," he subtly nodded. "did you want me to stay the night?"

"if you want to, i don't mind," she flashed him a small smile.

"i'm gonna go use the bathroom, and i'll meet in your room then?"

"mhm"

as daniel walked off down the hall, liberty chased the tablet with water before placing the packet back in the drawer and taking the the glass with her to her bedroom. sending charley a quick message to let her know she was home safe and too setting it down on her bedside table.

removing her top and bra and replacing it with an oversized t-shirt, she then took off her jeans, kicking them out of the way and climbed into bed. instantly closing her eyes and cuddling into her blankets.

daniel soon entered into the room, flicking the light off the second his eyes landed on her. using the brightness illuminating from his phone screen as he made his way around to the other side of the bed.

kicking his shoes off and chucking his shirt down beside them, he got into bed with her. wrapping his arms around her as she shuffled over closer to him, burying her head into his chest.

"so how many kisses you up to now after leaving me all week, huh?" he softly spoke.

"like a million," she replied with a smile on her lips. "i win," she chuckled.

"will you fill me in on all your antics in the morning?"

"mhm"

"i love you.." he placed a kiss on her forehead.

"i love you too jamesy"
