Moving on…
-Functional processes; can be any repetitive actions; ie., rocking back and forth, washing dishes. They can also be activities that, involve functional aspects; ie., gambling.
-One shot clock; the feeling that you waited too long and now, you can’t do something. One example of this is, a person wanting to go back to school but, they think they are too old or, missed their shot. This is happening functionally because of an over-focus. Typically, this comment is made when a person is anxious because of ‘the need to know what to expect’.
-Living anxiety out loud; comes in many different forms. The brain, while searching for answers is using either a functional process; or, it is using activities that, the person has found answers before. Answers of any kind.
(example; you get angry and then, start washing dishes. The repetitive motion is calming because, it is a simple process; as well as; it enables the brain to know what to expect.)
Along with searching, the brain also uses these activities to, keep busy or, to at least create the illusion of being productive. This is because; to the brain it is unacceptable to sit idle when it is in need of something; such as answers. If I’m not mistaken, the only time this does happen; is with depression.
Some examples of living anxiety out loud:
Gambling, sex, masturbation, drinking, drugs, over-eating, over-thinking, over-exercising, over-reading, over-facting, excessive television watching and; last but not least;…over-loving.

Please keep in mind that, these are mostly based on balanced brains; as well as; they are not individually specific. They are general explanations.
1. Not paying back school loans
We go to school for, a better career/more money. Signing up for school is a contract. Even though the money is borrowed and, later owed to the student loan company; often the brain perceives the school and student loan company to be, one in the same. Now, whether you finish school or, not; and regardless of the reasons of why you did or did not; the question(s) is ... Are you now in a better career because, of going to school? Or, are you now making more money because, of going to school?
Now this might seem like backwards thinking but, sometimes; usually because of an imbalance; the brain does work backwards. It detaches from responsibility because of survival. One way it may detach, is to use reasoning such as this...
The reason you are not in a better career or, making more money is because, the school has breached the contract.
So now I ask you... do you pay for something or, for a service that you have not received? No. I guess the person whom owes the student loan, doesn’t either.
2. Why some people are not calling back/ messaging back.
When the phone rings or, a message comes in, then that, is the moment of need or, of requirement. Because that is when a request has been made. If the receiving person is unsure of how to answer the call or the message then, they may not answer; telling themselves that, they will reply later. The brain then detaches from the need and, since there is no additional reminder in our phone; it's out of sight, out of mind. By the time they might remember, the brain says that they waited too long. (one shot clock).
Now, speaking from a more imbalanced point of view; the receiver does remember and, does want to respond (usually several times) however; they just can’t. Something in the brain is stopping them; detaching them. (See depression)
3. Expecting someone to do something, without being asked.
For as much as it may seem obvious to some people that, some help might be needed; for other people, it is not obvious. Unless a request is made, by name and, with specifics; then, there is no requirement that needs to be met or, served. People are not mind readers after all.
4. Why are you shy or, someone you know, shy?
You may want to socialize because; other people tell you you should or, because you actually do want to talk to other people but, something just stops you.
The answer again; it’s not about what you want, it's about what the brain needs. Does the brain need to talk to those people? Do they do something for you; such as; feed you, clothe you, pay for you or, service you in some way? If the answer is no then, that's why...because you don't need to talk to them.
5. Addictions; why they happen sometimes
What better way to understand someone’s journey than, to walk in their footsteps. For example; the child of addict parents; may have unanswered questions, stuck in their head. As the child grows older, they learn about their parent’s addiction but, still have unanswered questions. At some point, the brain begins to follow either their parent’s lifestyle or, a similar one; in order to ‘seeing is believing’ answer those questions. (These questions might be along the lines of; what happened or, what was more important than them; but these are only guesses as to what those questions could be.)
And...that’s it.
In conclusion; I should mention that, all of this information is opinion based. None of what I have said is a fact; just observations. Whereas, I do believe that I am onto something; unfortunately, there are gaps in my knowledge of this theory, especially when it comes to the functional side and, how it behaves. I still have quite a bit to learn and, invite any comments and insights that anyone wishes to share; as well as; I thank you for your time.
