Chapter I: The Boy

Xiao had an appointment at the doctors office for his annual check up. Doctors visit were never exciting, it was the same old visit as every year, but he was just glad he wasn't going for anything serious, rather just a physical.

Xiao got up from his bed with a long sigh. He looked around his room before getting up to go get changed. He went to his closet to pick out a shirt to wear, he grabbed a black T-shirt off a hanger and a pair of skinny jeans. He lifted off his pajama shirt, then putting the T-shirt over his head and on to his body. He took of his pajama shorts off in replacement for the jeans, and put on a pair of white socks. After he was done getting dressed he walked over to the bathroom flicking on the light switch and looking himself in the mirror. He grabbed his toothbrush and a bottle of toothpaste, applying it to the brush and began to brush it against his teeth. He spit the toothpaste from his mouth and turned on the sink to wash his face. After he had finished cleaning himself up, he grabbed an eyeliner and applied around his eyelid and under eyes, and then on his waterline. He repeated the same for the other side. After Xiao finished up his hair and makeup he looked himself in the face to make sure everything looked okay before turning off the light and exiting the bathroom.

"Xiao!!" his mom called out before he ran down stairs and grabbing a protein bar off the table since he was running late and couldn't get himself a proper breakfast. He walked outside locking the front door and hoping into the car. "Ready?" his mom asked giving him a big smile. "Yup" Xiao replied. "Off we are then"

Finally Xiao had reached the doctor's office and they walked in side sitting the waiting room. Xiao was bored out of his mind before they finally got called into the room. Xiao got up from his seat to walked out and into the room. "Hello Xiao, it's nice to see you again!" the doctor grinned at the young boy. "Hi" Xiao replied to the man in a low tone of voice rubbing his eyes. "Tired?" The doctor asked. "Mm... I guess" Xiao said. "Alright mind if you just answer a few questions for me." "Okay" Xiao responded to doctors question. "Alright, what is your date of birth?" The doctor asked holding out a piece paper and a pen. "April 17th, 2000" Xiao answered. "Alright lemme just write that down — and who is your Emergency Contact" the doctor asked one more question. "Mm, my mother" Xiao muttered. "Alrighty! Thats all for the questions, moving on"

After Xiao's doctors appointment he jumped onto his bed and grabbed his computer to go onto his favorite game, as he was playing he ended up talking to a few people on the game, one of which asked the other 3 of them if they had Discord, the two said no, while Xiao responded to the question saying he did. The boy on the game then asked for his username and the two exchanged discords. Xiao logged onto discord and looked at his computer screen.

Ah, so this must be his discord then. Xiao thought to himself before quickly accepting the request. He started at the profile for a second, he had a anime profile picture of a boy with cat ears, black hair and a pink top. His bio had been written using fancy symbols decorated with emojis and a pink background. Interesting. Xiao couldn't help but wonder if perhaps it was a girls profile, could the guy he assumed to be another male really be a female?

XiaoRawr: Hello!
Barbatos: Hihi! :3

Err, I do think this might be a girl running the account. Xiao thought to himself thinking of a response.

XiaoRawr: Um I hope you don't mind me asking, but are you a girl or a boy?
Barbatos: Aha~ I'm a boy!
XiaoRawr: Do you mind me asking... what do you look like?
Barbatos: I have black hair faded to blue, it's short in the back and long in the front, i usually wear it in twin braids! I also have turquoise eyes, I'm very pale, and I'm 5'5!
XiaoRawr: Uu- I mean do you have a picture?
Barbatos: Oh! Ahaha of course I do!

Xiao stopped to look at his computer screen, staring at the image of the boy. It was a picture of the boy with the description that was said, wearing a white lace tank top and a pair of teal shorts, he had a teal beret on his head to match his shorts and a pair white thigh high socks. He face flushed slightly as he looked at him. Oh my, he is beautiful. Xiao suddenly felt embarrassed by the thought of finding the boy attractive, but he obviously just wanted to get to know the guy.

Barbatos: Hello? I didn't scare you did I?
XiaoRawr: Oh no, sorry I got distracted by my cat for a minute! You look... interesting
Barbatos: Hey! What's the supposed to mean! Also what is your cats name? I must know!
XiaoRawr: Not in bad way, I guess. But her name's Tangerine!
Barbatos: Well what do you look like? And aww that's cute! I wish I could have a cat, but I am unfortunately allergic.
XiaoRawr: Oh me? Give me a second. Also oh that sucks then, cats are pretty dumb though, cute but stupid
Barbatos: Just like me then ;D

Xiao felt a sudden wave of anxiety flow over him, he was nervous the boy wouldn't think of him as attractive as he was. He wasn't sure why he felt the need to impress the boy when they had only just met, but he took a deep breath and found the best photo of himself he could find.

Barbatos: EMO!!! WOWWE!! CUTIE!!

Xiao blushed at the idea of the boy calling him cute, he could barely believe anyone would think he was cute, but especially not someone like that.

XiaoRawr: Hey! You're one to talk, FEMBOY.
Barbatos: Hehehe~ don't be upset now! I like emos ;3
XiaoRawr: Oh shush, go find someone else to be your emo boyfriend
Barbatos: Bold of you to assume I was gonna ask you to be my boyfriend!

Xiao felt he face heat up at the boy's message, he felt a sudden embarrassment, like he shouldn't have said anything.

XiaoRawr: Sorry, Barbatos, or.. what should I call you?
Barbatos: Venti is the name! And you?
XiaoRawr: Just Xiao
Barbatos: Aha! Well I shall be off to bed now!
XiaoRawr: Wait what time is it for you?
Barbatos: It's 4 am! I haven't slept yet aha!
XiaoRawr: Oh my it's 11 am here, you should probably get sleep then
Barbatos: Aha buh bye!
XiaoRawr: Bye, good night.

Xiao logged off his computer hoping to text the boy tomorrow, he sat in bed for a moment to think about Venti, and everything he liked about him, his facial features, hair, clothing style, the boy was perfect— it was his dream boy. He couldn't help but blush at the thought. He logged on his computer one last time to look at the image of the boy, he saved it to his phone just so he could have it.
