Hopeless Fate

back on track...sort of

mark pauses, catching his breath while he tries to think of how to ask this. he needs to figure out how to ask the right questions so he is still pretending to be sun but also be able to get the info he needs. plus, he isn't even completely sure that monty will actually be useful. he might know a bit about building animatronic bodies since he built lunar and bloodmoons bodies, however mark needs to know how to build a fully functional ai from practically nothing.

monty stands there impatiently waiting for "sun" to talk. "hello? what do you need? there's no way you just came all the way over here to stare at me."

mark snapped out of his thoughts "well...I need your help with something. moon has been under a lot of pressure lately with everything thats been going on with eclipse." mark explains, still not used to doing suns voice.

monty nods "what bout it?" he asks, waiting for sun to get to his point. "well..I wanted to help him out a bit. I came here because I need some tips on how exactly to build a fully functional ai out of nothing. I was wanting to just quickly build some sort of assistant ai to help moon in the daycare and you are the only one I could think of to help" he quickly explains.

monty is surprised by his request. "I mean- I think there is a way to do something like that. why should I help you through, sun?"

mark isn't really surprised that he asked for something in return. it is monty after all.

"I can let you take as much money as you want from our bank account." he offered. normally this would be a bad idea but mark couldn't care less if monty robbed them.

montys eyes widen as he quickly agrees. monty quickly shakes his hand as to "seal the deal" and eclipse grins.

monty begins to tell "sun" the basics of how to create ai. mark listens carefully, knowing this would be extremely useful information. although he did end up zoning out a few times because of how boring it was but thankfully he didn't mess much. finally monty stops talking as he finishes explaining.

"thank you monty! I should go back to my brother now." mark walks out of gator golf, not letting monty get another word in.

he grins 'I did it! I can't believe I somehow convinced him to tell me! now all I have to do is finish making the body and then I can work on the actual ai' mark thinks back to the weird rat-like amalgamation that he earlier created and barely stifles a laugh. 'that might take a while'

mark opens the daycare doors and is immediately faced with moon. he jumps back, surprised. "uh- hello brother." mark says, reluctantly going back to his sun voice. it was really beginning to strain his vocal cords...or voice box? either way he really needs to find a better way to do it.

"where were you?" moon narrows his eyes as sun walks in. "I was just talking to our good friend monty. why?"

moon sighs "you cant just run off like that. I thought eclipse took control and was doing something bad."

mark decides this was a good time to reveal himself "what...scared?" he goes back to using eclipse's voice. mark remembers how based on what he remember from the show, this is around the time that eclipse reveals his goal to get the star.

moons eyes widen as he glares over at eclipse. "what do you want now?!" moon grits his teeth.

"I simply have a little...proposition for you, moon." mark tries his best to make himself sound smug and act like eclipse would.

"proposition? you mean you want to make a deal with me?" moon crosses his arms. eclipse nods. "heres my offer...I will give you until october to hand over that star monty took. otherwise...lets just say it won't be very pleasant for you and your brother here" eclipse explains. mark is eternally proud of himself for actually managing to do a decent job with eclipse. he might actually be improving.

"what?! are you talking about that thing I created? why the hell would I give it to you?"

mark rolls his eyes. "as I said. you got until october to hand it over." eclipse then begins to let sun back into control.

once he makes it back into suns head, he grins happily. "im actually making progress!"

that was until his smile momentarily falls "wait- I dont think I was supposed to make that deal until they went into the bunkers...oh well. that shouldn't change to much?"

eclipse looks over at "lunar". "time to get to work...yay." mark wasnt the most excited about it. he would probably have to spend hours just trying to make the body look decent. and then after that he would have to try and make an ai as close to lunar as possible. from what monty explained, it would probably take at least several days for him to fully build the code.

mark sighs in defeat as he gets to work.

alright now im gonna how to binge watch tsams once again so that this story is actually accurate. also, for anyone who missed it, the timeline im going to be using is right after the stanley parable episode because the OP mentioned them playing it.
