Beomgyu POV
I woke up to Yeonjun shaking me roughly, and before I could even gather my thoughts, he held up his bag, signaling that he was ready to crash for the night. I groggily got up, motioning for him to follow me upstairs. When I reached out to grab a pillow from the bed, his hand shot out, stopping me.
"I'm sleeping here. Everything on this bed is mine. Keep your filthy hands away," Yeonjun said coldly, his voice dripping with arrogance. Sighing, I grabbed my coat and lay it on the floor next to the bed. It wasn't comfortable, but what choice did I have? I curled up, trying to ignore the ache in my chest, and eventually drifted off.

Yeonjun POV
Around 3 a.m., a loud crack of thunder jolted me awake. But that wasn't the only thing. I heard something else—soft whimpering. Annoyed, I switched on the bedside lamp and looked over at Beomgyu. He was sitting up, eyes shut tight, tears streaming down his face.
"Beomgyu?" I called, unsure what was going on. His eyes flew open, and suddenly he was sobbing louder, like he'd been holding it in for too long. For a second, I didn't know what to do. It's not like I'm some emotional support pillow. But the crying wasn't stopping, so I grudgingly sat on the floor next to him and awkwardly pulled him into a hug. Gross, but I needed my sleep.
"The thunder... it's—" Beomgyu tried to explain, but instead, he pressed his face deeper into my chest, sobbing even harder.
"Wait, you're afraid of thunder?" I asked, and he nodded, still trembling. Ugh. I had to get some peace, so I stood him up and pulled him onto the bed. He was so soft and fragile, clinging to me like a kid. "Alright, just... stop crying already," I muttered, trying not to sound too harsh, and whispered calming words to him, even though I felt ridiculous.

Beomgyu POV
I couldn't help the butterflies that fluttered in my stomach as Yeonjun whispered softly in my ear, his lips so close they brushed against my skin. It made me forget the storm completely, and my body relaxed. Maybe he wasn't all bad after all. I felt myself drifting off to sleep in his warmth.

When I woke up, sunlight was streaming through the window, and I realized something was off. The bed felt oddly firm. Confused, I looked down and my face burned in embarrassment. I had somehow ended up lying on top of Yeonjun, my head resting on his chest. His cold stare bored into me.
Before I could even apologize, he shoved me off, sending me crashing to the floor.
"Owww, what was that for?" I groaned, rubbing my elbow, shooting him a wounded look.
"Don't look at me like that, you freak," he spat, disgust in his eyes. "Get ready for school, or we'll be late."
My heart sank. Last night, he was... almost nice. But now he was back to his usual cruel self. I picked myself up, feeling the ache in my chest grow stronger.

Walking through the school corridors, I could feel everyone's eyes on me. Whispers followed me wherever I went, and then came the laughter. Confusion flooded my mind. What was going on? Taehyun came running toward me, out of breath, his expression frantic.
"Beomgyu! Have you seen what Yeonjun posted on his Instagram?" he asked, panting heavily.
"No... why?" I asked, fumbling for my phone. I opened Instagram, and my heart dropped. There it was. Yeonjun had posted a picture of me asleep on the couch last night—completely unaware, vulnerable, and embarrassing.
"Why would he do that?" I whispered, feeling sick to my stomach.
"You look cute, though," Taehyun said, trying to cheer me up, but it didn't help.
"Clearly not everyone thinks the same," I muttered, my voice cracking as tears filled my eyes. I could feel everyone's eyes on me, the mocking laughter ringing in my ears. Without another word, I turned and bolted for the bathroom, ignoring Taehyun's shouts behind me. I locked myself in a stall and broke down, sobbing into my hands.
Why? Why does Yeonjun do this to me? What did I ever do to deserve this?
