"I have love in me the likes of which you can scarcely imagine and rage the likes of which you would not believe. If I cannot satisfy the one, I will indulge the other."

- Mary Shelley

Welcome to "Burn", dearest gentle reader!

This story is based upon my earlier work, "Aspire - Kanthony's continuation story", which I strongly recommend reading before this one. If you nevertheless choose not to, here are a few things you should know:

- Kate has her own racehorse business, Anthony is just Anthony
- Edwina is married to Prince Friedrich of Prussia, but...
- Siena Rosso was Prince Friedrich's lover and when she ended the relationship, he sent a killer after her, but Kate managed to threaten the prince and make him back away without Edwina knowing any of this
- Siena married Lord Fife, which was obviously scandalous
- Eloise ended up marrying Theo Sharpe, with Anthony's blessing
- Violet has married an original character of mine, the Duke of Stanton
- Kate's and Anthony's second daughter, Mary, will be called Lily instead

Otherwise the plot follows the TV-series canon as much as possible, since at the point of writing this only two seasons were available. For example, the Basset firstborn is Augie, not Amelia, as in the books. I liked the name though and did not want to let it go to waste, but I still feel like I need to point out that Edmund Bridgerton II and Amelia Fife are in no way related to one another. Also, I obviously do not own any rights to any characters belonging to either Julia Quinn or Netflix. All rights reserved considering my own writing.

I hope you have as much fun reading this as I had writing it, every comment is duly appreciated! <3

Lots of love from your humble writer,
Miss Islemeadow

P.S. You are of course free to imagine the characters exactly as you want, but here is how the main ones look in my head:
