Third person POV (A few minutes before).
"I just don't understand why we can't just tell her the truth! She deserves the truth! She deserves to know that she has people there for her, that she is cared for, that she is loved! I know for a fact that you do care for her. But she doesn't know that, she thinks you threw her away like trash, she doesn't deserve that, she deserves to know that she is loved, she is cared for! I just don't see why you can't just tell her", Eric was once at it again. He wanted his maker to tell her the truth, she deserved the truth, before she finds out from someone else. He just didn't understand why they couldn't tell her, she deserved to know the truth. It was her life, that they took her from, they sent her away on good intentions, but she deserved to know. To know she is cared for, that she is loved, that she isn't the fool that she thinks she is. It wasn't fair to her, and Eric desperately wanted to tell her the truth.
"Eric, please. It's better this way", Godric was tired of this, Eric kept repeating himself, but to him, he knew it was better this way, for her, that she doesn't know the truth. The truth will only hurt her. Eric glared at his maker, angry that he kept repeating himself. "For who? Better for who? Her or for you? You know exactly what'll happen if she finds out the truth, and your scared it'll back lash at you!", after he said that, he kinda wished that he hadn't. He heard the familiar sound of his makers fangs coming down with anger. "I am not scared! It is better for her! The truth will only hurt her! It is better that she stays away, it'll keep her safe from us, look at what's happened to her whilst in our presence! I could not keep her safe! It is better that she is very far away from us as possible", Godric hissed at his Childe, not appreciating the disrespect he was getting from his son. He knew Eric meant well, but it won't matter in the next few hours, she'll be gone, she'll leave them behind. She'll be far, far away from them, she'll be safe.
Godric walked away from his son, he did not want to stay in this argument any longer. He did not like fighting with his son. But he makes it very hard not to. He let out a unneeded sigh and made his way back towards the living room. But he raised an eyebrow once he heard the sound of fighting, things breaking. That did not sound good. He will not have a fight going on in his home. He was not in the mood to watch two vampires fighting over something that wasn't important, mostly their ego. But once he got close enough to see what the whole fight was about, he found himself angry, for once in a long time, he felt anger boiling inside of him. How dare she lay a hand on her?! He sped over and grabbed the female vampire by the neck. He took a quick glance at Danielle, to see if she was okay. She was gasping for air, the bruising hand print around her neck only made him angrier. She laid a hand on her, and that will not do, not at all. The monster inside of him banged on its cage, wanting out, it wanted to tear her apart. As much as he wanted to see if she was okay, to inspect her closer, he had to make sure the threat was gone. He turned back to the female vampire, he glared at her so hard, that if looks could kill, she would be ash right at this second.
"Retract. Your. Fangs. Now", he spat through his teeth. His own fangs begging to come out and show who the stronger one was. He didn't care how harsh his hold was on her, she had hurt someone he cared about, she had hurt his Danielle. And he was gonna show her that her actions had consequences. He squeezed a little harder, the monster in him grinned when the both of them heard her gasp at his action. She dare come into his home, their home, and start something like this, oh she will regret that. Oh he'll make sure of that. "I neither know nor care who you are. But in this area and certainly in this nest, I am the authority. Do you understand?", he wanted her to know, that can't just come in here and attack people in his own nest, in his own home, especially her, hurting her was a big No-No. He could snap her neck like a twig. And he wanted to, for a long time he hadn't felt the need to, but right now, he wanted to snap her neck like a twig.
"Yes. Sheriff", she said through gritted teeth, maybe it was due to the fact that his grip did not lessen. He hesitated but slowly let her go, and he found out that he did grip too hard, but he did not feel a ounce of guilt. She had put her hands on her, hurt her, and he will not stand for it. "You know, just as much as everyone in this nest, about the law. And yet you lay your hands on her, in my own home. She is a loyal friend to our kind, and yet you treat her like a child does a dragonfly, pulling off wings for sport. No wonder they hate us", he knew everyone in this nest, in this house, about the law, he knew for a fact that she too knew about what she was, about the law of hurting one of her kind. And she did so anyways, she laid a hand on her. When she knew she couldn't. "She provoked me", he grew angrier, he did not care if she provoked her or not, that does not give her the right to put her hands on her. He did not care about who this vampire was, but she had put hands on her, and he will not let that slide. "And you provoked me. You disrupted the peace in my own home, put your hands on someone I care who very much. I could snap you like a twig. Yet I haven't. Now why is that?", he wanted her to get it through her thick head, that he didn't care how old she was, he was much, much older then her, and he can break her with a simple snap of his hands. And yet, he hasn't. He wanted to lay fear into her. To know that he could snap her like a twig, or like what Danielle says, a slim Jim.
He could see the look that she was giving him. She was embarrassed and she was angry that he had embarrassed her, but he did not give a flying fuck if he embarrassed her. She is lucky she is still standing. The old him wouldn't have given a second thought before killing her. "It's your choice", indeed it was, it was his choice, even though the monster inside him wanted to show her that her actions had consequences. He was not like that anymore, but people and vampires alike still feared him, he could put fear into her without even touching her. "Indeed it is. Your an old vampire. I can tell. You've had hundreds of years to better yourself, yet you haven't. You are still a savage, and I fear for all of us, humans and vampires, if this behavior persists", she still acted like a newborn, just freshly changed, even after being on this earth for so long, she didn't care, but he'll make sure she understands, that actions have consequences. He turned to look at the man standing to the blonde woman, Sookie if he remembered, Danielle's aunt. Her lover, standing right next to her. He did not know his name. And at the moment, he did not care. "You. You seem to know her", it wasn't a question, he knew that the male vampire knew this female vampire, and he did not care how, but he wanted her gone. It took him a few seconds to reply, Godric knew he didn't want to say out loud that he knew her. He did not blame him.
"Yes, sheriff", good, then he will be able to escort her out of his home and away from Danielle. "Escort her from the nest", he watched as the male vampire turned to Sookie, she placed a hand on top of his. "Go ahead. I'll be fine", he then turned back to the female vampire. "I wish you out of my area before dawn. But let me tell you this, try to lay a hand on her again, and I will not be as courteous as I am now. You are lucky to be leaving here while you still can", that was the old him talking, but at the moment, he did not care, he wanted her to know, to remember, if she even comes across her, he will not be courteous as he was as he is now. She will regret ever coming across her. He watched as the female vampire walked away. With Sookie's lover following after her. Godric turned to look at Sookie, she gave him a smile. "Thank you", she whispered softly to him. He only nodded his head in acknowledgment.
He wanted everyone here to know, touch her, and you will die the true death. He was courteous now, but the next time, he will not be as kind. He will let the monster out of its cage. He will not hesitate when it came to her safety.
