To the other side (Winter and Turtle)

Start from the beginning

Turtle:

Okay, my friend, you want to cut me in
Well, I hate to tell you, but it just won't happen
So thanks, but no
I think I'm good to go
'Cause I quite enjoy the life you say I'm trapped in
Now I admire you, and that whole show you do
You're onto something, really it's something
But I live among the swells, an
d we don't pick up peanut shells

I'll have to leave that up to you

Turtle:

Don't you know that I'm okay with this uptown part I get to play
'Cause I got what I need and I don't want to take the ride
I don't need to see the other side
So go and do like you do
I'm good to do like me
Ain't in a cage, so I don't need to take the key
Oh, damn, can't you see I'm doing fine
I don't need to see the other side

Winter:

Now is this really how you like to spend your days?
Whiskey and misery, and parties and plays

Turtle:

If I were mixed up with you, I'd be the talk of the town
Disgraced and disowned, another one of the clowns

Winter:

But you would finally live a little, finally laugh a little
Just let me give you the freedom to dream
And it'll wake you up and cure your aching
Take your walls and start 'em breaking
Now that's a deal that seems worth taking
But I guess I'll leave that up to you

Turtle:

Well, it's intriguing, but to go would cost me greatly
So what percentage of the show would I be taking?

Winter:

Well, fair enough, you'd want a piece of all the action
I'd give you seven, we could shake and make it happen

Turtle: I wasn't born this morning, eighteen would be just fine

Winter: Why not just go ahead and ask for nickels on the dime?

Turtle: Fifteen

Winter: I'd do eight

Turtle: Twelve

Winter: maybe nine

Both: Ten

Both: Don't you wanna get away to a whole new part you're gonna play

'Cause I got what you need, so come with me and take the ride

To the other side

Turtle: So if you do like I do

Winter: So if you do like me

Both: Forget the cage, 'cause we know how to make the key

Oh, damn, suddenly we're free to fly
We're going to the other side

Turtle: So if you do like I do

Winter: To the other side

Turtle: So if you do like me

Winter: Going to the other side

Both: Cause if we do we're going to the other side

We're going to the other side

   *song ends*

The cheering was louder than ever that Winter was pretty sure some dragons would have sore throats in the morning. He scanned the room and at Turtle's signal they bowed (A/N can dragons bow?)

Clay: Give it up for Turtle and Winter!!!! Pretty sure we know who the winner is.

As Winter and Turtle went to their seats in their table they were bombarded by cheering and winter suspected some fangirling. "That was AMAZING", Kinkajou shrieked, " How long did you guys prepare for this?" "Weeks", Winter said a little guiltily, "It's also the reason I didn't have time to ask Moon to the dance. Speaking of which, where is she? I got to apologize." "She left before you guys went on", Kinkajou replied, "Go get her!"

Winter rushed outside in search for the dragon of his dreams when he spotted her sitting on a rock stargazing. "Hey Moon", Winter said. "Hello Winter", Moon replied without taking her eyes of the sky. "You were named for this reason right", Winter asked. "Yes", Moon said. "Look I'm sorry....", Winter started before Moon interrupted him, "Sorry for what exactly hm. Sorry for being rude to me? Sorry for abandoning me? Sorry for getting my hopes up only to have them crushed?! Tell me sorry for what", Moon said angrily, " I thought you weren't going to the dance and that's why you didn't ask me to it. You hurt me Winter more than ever now leave me alone." "I'll leave you alone Moon after I give you my gift", Winter said.
