What happened before the death day

(This is Still in the flashback with five but I promise I'll get back to the present time this is just about how y/n and five met and some small talk about what happened before and after the apocalypse)

Five and y/n are walking around the ruins looking for food and materials

"So...five how did you survive the disaster"
Y/n asked five who was walking beside him

They have found each other for almost two weeks and y/n wanted to know more about him y/n had quickly realized that five really doesn't talk about himself a lot and he wanted to know why but he never pushed him because they barely met not even two weeks but all y/n knew about five was he was apart of this thing called the umbrella academy he didn't know much about it since his parents never really wanted him to get involved with that kind of stuff something he never really understood

Five stayed quiet before speaking keeping his head down slightly

"Well it was a mistake...I wanted to prove that I can time travel to my dad i went to far and...here I am now"

Five explained seeing to not wanting to talk about it but he decided to ask y/n the same question

"And what about you. how did you survive this"

"Hmm i really don't know all i remember doing before it happened i was leaving a school football game you know the ones that high schoolers get excited about besides that i left during third-quarter to go to the store so my father could pick me up and...I-...i felt the ground shake and I saw rocks falling from the sky and I knew that..that we were all in danger so I tried to find somewhere to hide to stay safe which I did"

As y/n was telling five what happened before the apocalypse five couldn't help but listen intently he was starting fell sorry for the guy

"...after I knew everything was ok i went to find people so I ran back to the school the...the bleachers were destroyed so i knew no one was alive but i couldn't help but try to find people...I was also badly injured my leg was hit hard with a rock

That's why y/n walked with a limp because he never got it treated properly and y/n didn't realize it but he started tearing up he quickly wiped the tears away remembering all the dead bodies he seen that day he couldn't help but remember seeing his s/b  (sibling sorry if you don't have any just make one up) dead on the ground something he wished he never seen that's why he didn't look for his parents

"I'm sorry to hear that. You know if I could change all of this i would"
Five tells y/n and gives him a small pat on his shoulder five was never really good a comforting but he at least tried for his new companion
