16.The Hogwarts express and Hogwarts

Start from the beginning

Lyra's family and the other parents stood on the platform, bidding their children farewell with smiles and well-wishes. It was a moment filled with a mix of emotions, from excitement to nostalgia.

As the train's whistle blew, signaling the departure, the students found their compartments and settled into the comfortable seats. The Hogwarts Express slowly chugged out of King's Cross Station, leaving the platform behind.

Inside the compartments, the young witches and wizards shared their anticipation and talked about the adventures that awaited them at Hogwarts. The train ride to the magical school was a time of bonding, where friendships were formed and stories of magical adventures were shared.

The journey to Hogwarts had officially begun, and Lyra couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and excitement as she gazed out of the window at the passing countryside. The adventure that lay ahead was a dream come true, and she was ready to embrace it with open arms.

Lyra, Draco, and Daphne found an empty compartment on the Hogwarts Express and settled in for the journey to the school. Their excitement was palpable, and they couldn't wait to begin their magical education. As they chatted and shared their anticipation, the compartment door slid open, revealing a boy with a dark complexion. Draco introduced him as Blaise Zabini, a fellow student and potential new friend. Blaise, with a friendly smile, joined them in the compartment.

The four of them quickly struck up a conversation about various aspects of Hogwarts, including their likes and dislikes. It didn't take long for the topic to turn toward their collective discontent with certain aspects of the school and its leadership.

"I've never been a fan of the way some things are run at Hogwarts," Draco commented, "and I'm not particularly fond of Professor Dumbledore either." Lyra nodded in agreement, adding her perspective, "I've heard a lot of rumors about him. It's as if he has some grand plan, but we students are often left in the dark." Daphne chimed in, "It would be nice if we had more transparency and understanding about the decisions being made at the school."

Blaise, with a knowing look, shared his thoughts as well, "I've felt the same way. It's like they keep us in the dark on purpose. I hope things change as we progress through the years." Their conversation continued as they shared their hopes and concerns about their upcoming school years. They were united in their desire for a more open and engaging educational experience at Hogwarts.

Just then, the Trolley Lady arrived, pushing her trolley filled with a variety of magical snacks and treats. She asked if they needed anything, but they politely declined, knowing that they had their own supplies for the journey.

As the train chugged along the tracks, the four young witches and wizards continued to chat and bond, eager to arrive at Hogwarts and begin their magical education together. They had formed a camaraderie that would be an invaluable part of their time at the school.

As Lyra, Draco, Daphne, and Blaise were engrossed in their conversation about their shared concerns and hopes for Hogwarts, the compartment door was rudely thrown open, and an obnoxious red-haired boy with a multitude of freckles barged in.

His face matched the fiery shade of his hair, and he wore well-worn and oversized robes, as if he'd inherited them. The boy wasted no time in announcing himself, "I'm Ronald Weasley, the girl who lived's best friend! You should be honored to be in the presence of someone so important!" The reaction from the occupants of the compartment was less than welcoming.

They exchanged baffled glances and then collectively told him, "We were having a private conversation. You barged in uninvited. Please leave." Ronald Weasley's face flushed even redder, and he responded indignantly, "You're just a bunch of mini Death Eaters and slimy Slytherins! You should be grateful I graced you with my presence."
