"Dobby can't. Dobby must tell boss if asked"

"Then... Be my elf. Keep my secrets..." I grunt, feeling the pain fading slowly.

"Yes!" Dobby jumped at me and I felt the bond forming. "Master hurts! Dobby help!"

He popped away and came back with Hermione before popping away again.

"I want to kill them!" She growled once I'd managed to tell her what happened.

Dobby popped in with cups.

"Drink. Help bond heal" Hermione takes the cups and helps me sip mine, my hands still too shaky to handle liquids.

I felt magic flood my system, wild and untamed and it focused on my body and mind.

I felt my body shunt twice, growing and gaining muscle.

Bones crack and heal from misaligned heals.

Skin tore and sealed over faster than blood could spill.

I feel the magic sooth the Soul Bond's severely unstable state and transform itself to strengthen and merge our Souls again.

It was bliss.

Hermione similarly changed beside me.

She didn't grow taller but I saw cat ears appear and her eyes slit. Her lips pout and her nose twitched.

Her hair smooths into soft curls that frame her face nicely.

A tail flicks behind her

(With green cat eyes)

She blinks a few times before noticing her tail.

Terror flows from the bond and I grab her hand before she can pull away.

I pull her into me.

"You are just as beautiful as before Hermione... If anything more" I murmur in her human ear as I stroke her hair.

The action calms her like it would a cat and she snuggled into my body.

"What happened to them?" I ask, she hasn't been hiding them.

"Dumbledore used a glamour for the rest of the year and whe I got home it ran out of power. My Dad forced me to a plastic surgeon who cut them off... The eyes are new though" She whimpered.

I hug her tighter as protectiveness surges through me.

"Nobody will cut them off again my sweet little kitten, I love you just how you are"

She melted into my body but I could still feel her sadness.

I decide to do something I'd genuinely forgotten about years ago.

"I see your monsters. I see your pain... Tell me your problems I'll chase them away" I sing softly, the room already striking up a song to go with it.

It was another hour before we could sit up and I left her on a conjured bed while I move over to my work station.
