Chapter 2: Green Gables College

Should I wear this in white or red? I am in front of the mirror, trying out my new hair clip to see if it will fit my clothes. There is no uniform at my new school kayadapat everyday you need to dress up. I am just wearing a Tie neck Gigot sleeve top paired by a medium wash flare leg jeans justa simple but classy outfit good for school wear. After arranging everything for my class today, I immediately went to the garage. It is still 7:30, and my first subject is sa 9 pa, but I prefer to be early than late. I also text Carlo that I am on my way knowing na napakabagal kumilos non mas mabuti ng ma text ko siya ng maaga. As I arrived in the garage, I saw Megan wearing a driver outfit. Oh, come on, as I mentioned, she is an overall employee of mom. Now she is my driver mas nakakagulat if maging prof ko siya sa mga subjects ko mapapa hanga na talaga ako sakanya "Don't tell me you are one of my professors later? She weirdly smiles, "you want?" I just give her a blank stare. She opens the door for me, and after a few seconds, we drive off. In the middle of the ride, Megan says something that makes me feel relief and doubt at the same time: "Don't worry, Miss Alice, I will just drop you off in the parking lot, and you are just required to text me if you finish your class for today's schedule." I give her an intrigued look, and she just gives me a creepy smile, weirdo -_- so for sure, mom has someone inside after a minute we arrive at the parking lot, I get a mirror and check my face if may kailangan pa bang I retouch so far wala naman still pretty hihihi I get out in the car and so Megan "You told me earlier that you would just drop me off here; why are you standing in front of me? Gusto mo pa ako ihatid sa classroom?" "No, I am just waiting for someone that will assist you." Assist me? Or eyeing me? Whoever that person is, one thing is for sure: I cannot trust her or him because I know she is a mom puppet nakakainis. As we wait for a couple minutes, there is a nerdy guy whose hair, like the hair of Dr. Rizal, has a thick frame glasses wearing a polo pink shirt and a khaki leg pants. What a nerd! As he gets closer, I can clearly see his face, and it makes me want to burst into a satisfying laugh HAHAHA but I control myself and bite my lips " You're Carl Gonzaga?" Megan said this with a confusing look " Yes mam, and you are Madam Megan?" I just continue to bite my lips to control myself not to laugh "You look different as Madam Lindsay describe you, you are just too nerd, are you sure you are CARL GONZAGA??" too nerd? HAHA I wonder what mom describes this dumb head guy. The nerdy guy immediately showed his ID to Megan. Megan thoroughly checked it, and I can see in her face that she already believes it "Okay, just follow what I instruct you, ok? This is Miss Alice, and Miss Alice, this is Carl Gonzaga; he will be the one who will assist you here for good." I just give him rolled eyes, and he just smiles awkwardly. "Ok, I will go. Miss Alice, don't forget to text me, ok? And Carl reminds her that if she forgets, you are the one who will text me, ok? " After Megan said that she immediately got in the car and drove off as the car slowly disappeared from my sight, I started to softly laugh and look at his nerdy face. " Are you serious? With that look and acting, seriously Couz? How did you do it? Haha" yes this nerdy guy is Carlo haha my handsome cousin. As he checked that Megan was totally out of our sight, he immediately removed his glasses and fixed his hair. I got my mirror in my bag and gave it to him " You look dumb, haha" he smiled and said, "I did it for you." I smiled and rolled my eyes "Thank you. I can freely roam around here on campus. Anyway, how did you do it? May pinakita ka pa talagang ID for validation of your fake identity haha" "Couz from the moment that tita ask my mom for help regarding sa school mo, plinano ko na ang lahat, I know that tita don't want to see me hanging around with you kaya gumawa ako ng paraan." I just smiled. I really don't know what the reason is why mom hates this man, hahaha because he is unserious? "C'mon couz I will tour you around." "Okay, let's see what's good in this school." As we entered this tall and wide gate, the first thing that welcomed me was the mini-forest of the campus. What a weird entrance! "Welcome to Green Gables College. It's weird, right? Hahahaha, mukha mu palang couz I know what you feel in this kind of set up haha" "It's really weird; what's the reason behind of this?" "hmmm I don't know haha" " what a useless tour guide -___-"  "Haha, seriously, hindi ko talaga alam couz, maybe the president wants the student to be connected to nature before they experience the hell of studying." " HA-HA-HA" The mini-forest is quite nice though; you can see that it is quite well maintained. It was full of trees with which I am not familiar haha. The tree is surrounded by various colors of daisies and roses, one word to describe "beautiful." The mini-forest is not that wide, kaya after a few minutes, a long and wide Cascading Fireball Fountain made an entrance to my eyes. I think it is carved of Golden Cypress Granite, and it has a lot of bubbling nozzles and two cascades. As I look at the surrounding , a three of 7 story wide building amaze my eyes, yung tatlong building is facing each other separated by the fountain and a parking lot for bikes? Bikes? "Couz, why are there so many bikes here?" as I look at him he just laugh and napakamot "You will know later couz, and don't worry I bought you a bike haha" after he said that may isang lalaki na lumapit at may dalang dalawang bike. One is a pink vintage bike with a basket and the other is red mountain bike. "Hey carl, kanina pa kayo?" "No, we just came here" "Oh good I thought kanina pa kayo nag hihintay, here's the bike. As you mentioned, one lady vintage bike and a mountain bike and that is the only available color sa shop namin, is the color ok with you?" carlo look at me waiting for my approval, well pink is my color and the vintage bike is very classy and elegant compared to a mountain bike so " yah the color is so wonderful couz and the style is perfect!" " Good, we will get it Christian, thank you because you personally deliver it to us and oh the payment I will transferred it to your account" " Oh, no worries" carlo get the vintage bike and pina try niya saking if ok lang ba siya sa Height ko and as I try it yahhh it is so perfect "It's perfectly fit to my height couz" "Good, you know couz, that is the smallest size sa shop ni Christian hahahahahahaI really don't know if hindi pa talaga sakto yan sayo hahahaha" "I give him a death glare; napaka maasarin talaga. I'm not that short; my height is just normal for a girl, buti na lang din I wear pants, but what if I wear a skirt? And what is the purpose of this bike? "Hey, couz, why do we need a bike? Is this building in front of us not the classroom?" "Carlo is busy setting up his bike, and I bet hindi niya ako narinig to get his attention, I pull up some of his hair haha " Ay putang------- masakit yun couz, what do you want? Nakakainis naman" hahahaha na pasobra ata yung hila ko "I ask you what is the purpose of this bike, why we need it? eh, we have 3 buildings in front of us, then it is 7 stories, hindi pa ito yung classrooms? "He just smirked and raised his two eyebrows. "It is a classroom but a different department. The building in the middle is the College of Health and Sciences; all of the pre-med courses are nandyan; the left building is the College of Education; all of the education courses are nandiyan and the right building is the College of Fine Arts; na dapat is nandiyan ka." Well, mom wants me to enroll in accounting, so I have no choice. I can still pursue arts if tapos naku sa accounting just to enhance my skills in arts. "So where is our college department? " "That is the purpose of the bike, haha" " Whaaaaat? So it means this campus is wide? Kasi we need to ride a bike bago makarating sa building? "Wait, so in order para makarating tayo sa building ng-- what do you call our department?" "College of Business Entrepreneurship and Accountancy." "Yah, that college bago tayo makarating is we need to ride the bike first? As in every day?" "Why? You know how to fly? Hahahahaa of course bawal dito ipasok ang sasakyan, or motorcycle-only bicycle, this school is an eco-friendly school and a health-friendly school hahaha" I just frown. What a hassle, and what if I want to wear a skirt? I can't ride a bike because that is very hard, so I need to walk ganun? "What happens if I want to wear a skirt? What will happen? I cannot ride the bike wearing a skirt." "Hmmmmm, in that case, you walk HAHAHAHA" nangiinis pa talaga dahil sa inis ko I pull up some part of his hair and some of them is natangal talaga oooooppppps sorry hihihi "ARAYYYY naman, baka maubos yung buhok ko sa kaka hila mo huh, of course there is no other way of transportation para makarating tayo sa department natin its either you will ride the bike or walk, and it is not that far naman napaka oa naman nito." "Are you really sure its not that far? Baka it is your own perspective lang yan huh" "sa likod ng mga building na ito is yung building natin but separated by a track field hehe" track field? SERIOUSLY????? Hindi na mapinta yung mukha ko because this is very hassle and nakakapagod and nakakawala ng ganda and freshness. "Well, don't worry, couz malapit satin yung cafeteria, kaya nothing to worry, hahaha kaya lets go na para ma tour pa kita sa department natin." I have no choice but to ride in my bike and follow Carlo. The pathway that we are taking is covered by trees, kaya you cannot feel the heat from the sun. I saw the track field na sinasabi ni Carlo; it is very wide and behind that field, I saw buildings, and I bet that two-story building is the canteen because the rest of the building is a seven-story na. It takes 10–20 minutes. It depends on how fast you cycle, but in my case I am too slow, so it takes 20 minutes hihihi. We finally arrive in one of the seven-story buildings, and I expect ito na yung department namin. We park our bikes and finally enter the building. Well, it has a school vibe. You can see classrooms, whiteboards, the usual things na makikita mo sa school, nothing special, but this school is very organized kasi the 1st to 4th floor is occupied by the first year college up to fourth year college, the 5th to 7th floor is for the library specifically for business students, the computer lab, meeting rooms, and other rooms that are important for the students. "In every building the 5th to 7th floor is same lang dito couz?" "Yeah, no need na makipag agawan sa ibang department kasi we have each our own library, computer lab, etc.""Then how do we socialize sa ibang department?" " hmmm may mag events naman na the school will make us socialize to different department and we also have different clubs and organization, I will introduce the different clubs sayo later para maka pili kana sa gusto mong salihan." Oh nice, after a minutes nalibot nanamin ang whole building including the roof top which is the gym of the business students carlo was right, no need na talaga makipag agawan sa ibang department kasi kompleto na lahat in one building. I look at my watch it is already 8:45 my first subject is at 9 and hindi ko namalayan na we are in front of my classroom " I have a copy of your class sched so I know na it is your room, you may enter na couz I don't know your classmates since we have different coarse kaya just behave and huwag masyadong maarte ok? Hahhahaa" Maarte me??? I glared at him and attempted to pull up his hair but bigla siyang tumakbo paalis and waved his hand dyan siya magaling in his remarkable exit. Ok, this is it, First day of school in different environment before ako pamasok sa room I just fixed myself retouch my light make up, fix my clothes and hair, inhale and exhale and I open the door.
