Sujin contemplates a protest, but finds little use in cracking through the boys' evident amusement.

"Ugh," She gives in with a grumble, "Fine."

"Hyung..." Jungwon's gaze flickers between his older friends, "Are you sure it's the best idea to put those two together in a room that... You know..." He stifles another giggle, "Contains knives?"

"No way they're making it to dinner alive." Riki snorts.

"Hey! I know I will." Sujin scoffs in defense, "Him, on the other hand? No promises."

Jay rolls his eyes.

"Just head up the stairs and turn to your left. They should be in the kitchen right above this one." He urges her through the door, "No stabbing before dinnertime, 'kay?"

"Aw," Sujin pouts, "You're no fun."

"Any other time, it's free game." Jay shoots her a mischievous smile.

Sujin's laugh follows her all the way down the corridor, up the staircase, and into the second floor's common room.

Sure enough, just as Jay said they'd be, Jake and Sunghoon have already made themselves at home around the kitchenette. The counters are littered with utensils, the room already smells of cherries and rich chocolate, and the boys are hunched over Jake's phone - reading off a recipe, judging by the way they're going back and forth between one another to confirm all the needed ingredients.

Sujin heaves a loud sigh as she plonks the trays on the dining table, the resulting clatter immediately capturing the dynamic duo's attention. She offers them a tight-lipped smile.

"... I come in peace."

Jake quirks a less-than-convinced brow, and Sunghoon snickers as he makes his way over to the table.

"Hi, Sujin." The younger of the two greets, examining one of the trays with a satisfied hum, "Ah - this is just what we were missing! Thank you."

"No problem." She murmurs, watching Sunghoon scurry back to the kitchen island, "Should we get started?"

"Someone's eager." Jake teases, swiping a bag of flour from the countertop.

"Look," Sujin shoots him a glare as she ties her hair into a lazy top knot, "The sooner we get this done and over with, the better."

"A ray of sunshine, as always..." He drawls sarcastically.

"Bite me, Sim." Sujin scowls.

Jake exchanges a knowing look with Sunghoon. Told you she was impossible.

"Um..." Sunghoon coughs, an attempt to divert the conversation from another argument that would last the entire afternoon. "I guess we can start by measuring out all the dry ingredients," He takes it upon himself to delegate, "And you can make sure the eggs are beaten properly before we mix it all together, Sujin. Sounds good?"

"Fine by me."

She walks over to the kitchenette, grabbing a mixing bowl and two eggs from an open carton. Jake and Sunghoon similarly commence their own tasks as they fall back into some distant conversation on the side.

Sujin cracks the eggs over the rim of the bowl in two swift movements. "You guys know where the whisk is?" She asks, frowning slightly as her gaze passes over the array of items scattered all throughout the room - to no avail.

"I think I saw it in one of the drawers..." Sunghoon mumbles, preoccupied with a box of cocoa powder.

Jake bends down to rummage through them, re-emerging with a triumphant "Gotcha!" when he uncovers the utensil from its hiding spot.
