~ The Final Chapter ~

Start from the beginning

"Multiple times," Sade chuckled again. And though she knew to move now or else there was no stopping Lauren in a second, she couldn't seem to find it in her to move a muscle.

Instead, as Lauren's hand held to her neck as a finger turned her jaw, making their faces now less than an inch apart, Sade found herself simply shaking her head before she leaned in to capture her wife's smirking lips.

Their kiss grew deeper and more sensual by the second as they sat on the small couch like they had nowhere to be and nothing else to do. They sat in each other's presence as if they were the only two people in the world. Because right now, alone in this dressing room after just being wed, that's exactly how they were feeling.

But before their subtle make out could turn into anything more- and it most certainly was about to, let it be up to Lauren- a knock hit the door.

"I hear lips smacking and no changing," Hunter yelled from the other side, with Tina and Aria's laughter muffled along with it. "Yall better be getting ready, your entrance is in ten minutes!"

The newlyweds giggled before Sade got up from Lauren's lap with a smiling sigh, then pulled Lauren to stand with her.

They began changing, and even then, they couldn't seem to pull their gazes away from each other. It was just something about this being their wedding day, and the start of a new chapter of their life together... it was almost as if they were seeing each other in an even more profound light than before.

Sade changed into a white jumpsuit with bell sleeves and a deep v-cut that reached down to her belly button, revealing a great deal of skin and cleavage. Lauren, on the other hand, went with a white laced corset top and white tailored dress pants. Sade took the pins out of her bun, allowing it to fall into a long curly ponytail. And Lauren kept hers in the swopped bun that she originally had.

After putting on their heels and checking over themselves, and each other, in the mirror, the couple was now ready to go. Just as everyone was starting to call for them too.

Everyone that was in the audience earlier were now inside the reception building as the wedding participants gathered outside for their entrance.

Once given the 'okay' from Hunter, the DJ played Micheal Jackson's 'Love Never Felt So Good.' And just as they did earlier, the bridesmaids and bridesmen made their way inside, linked arm in arm, and this time playfully dancing to the upbeat music.

Right as the bridge of the song came, Sade and Lauren finally made their dancing entrance into the building to join their cheering friends and family. And once they did, everyone joined them on the dance floor, beginning the reception celebration.

'Enjoy every single moment,' Sade remembered her mother saying as she and Lauren sat at their table, watching everyone have fun. 'It'll be over before you know it...'

"I can hear your thoughts Emerald," Lauren said as she took a sip of her pink lemonade, then turned to find her lover sheepishly smiling and shaking her head. "What you thinking 'bout?"

With the slight tilt of her head, Sade gazed adoringly at her wife while squeezing her hand a little.

"Sometimes I think you're psychic, you know?" Lauren chuckled,

"That's all you darling." The use of her infamous British accent made Sade giggle. "But what is it though- tell me..."

"I'm uh," she sighed while rubbing the back of Lauren's hand with her thumb. "I'm just really happy...and can't believe this day's already about to be over... It feels like it just started," she chuckled.

Rather than responding verbally, Lauren simply gave her wife's hand an emotional squeeze while peering deep into her eyes. It was then that she suddenly wanted none other than the very thing she'd daydreamed about since the moment they shared their first 'I love you.'

And now was the perfect time to do it.

"Come here." She pulled Sade to stand with her, then walked them toward the center of the room before quickly darting towards the DJ's booth.

At first, Sade had a look of amused confusion written on her face. But then, as Lauren walked back toward her, with a knowing smirk on her face as Adele's 'Make You Feel My Love' sounded through the speakers, Sade's expression knit with emotion.

Holding out a simple hand, as everyone in the room had turned to watch, Lauren smiled,

"Dance with me?"

As simple as a question it was, it meant so much more to Lauren and Sade. When they danced together, nothing else mattered- nothing else existed, except for the two of them and the love they had for each other. And after all this time, it's persisted, and prevailed, despite everything...

Taking her wife's hand, Sade whispered, "always..."

A lone tear strolled down her cheek as Lauren pulled her in to begin their slow waltz.

This moment, this day, this song, and this dance was something the couple wished upon a thousand stars to have framed within their memory. The way it felt to sway in each other's arms as the lyrics of the song touch their souls for they felt every word for each other. The look in both their eyes as their gazes spoke words beyond articulation. And the very fact that they now could call each other 'wife...'

Oh that was the icing on the cake, indefinitely...

Looking on as the couple waltzed across the dance floor, as if they were the only two in the room, their audience of family and friends swayed along to the sound of Adele's voice as her song came to a close...

I could make you happy, make your dreams come true
Nothing that I wouldn't do
Go to the ends of the Earth for you
To make you feel my love
To make you feel my love...
