-Misato's POV-
Misato: Maaan! What a day. They held me there all night. Shame I couldn't get Shinji yet.
I just came home from NERV after the investigation team held me overnight for questioning. A little bit after they shut me into a room, Deputy Fuyutsuki just so happened to reappear. When I found out I was very annoyed with the investigators but I got a day off out of it.
As I walked in I saw Asuka making breakfast which was a surprise since she never makes breakfast.
Asuka: Morning!
Misato: Morning...Asuka are you feeling alright?
Asuka: Never better why?
Misato: Nothing just curious... (Y/n) must have come over and spent the night. *sighs* Lucky them. (Y/n), if you're in there you can come out now.
...
Asuka: Uh...he's not here Misato.
Misato: Don't play dumb, I know he's here. I used to do the same thing whenever Ritsuko was gone all day.
Asuka: I see... But again mein liebling, isn't here he had some mission late last night.
Misato: Oh? Then he isn't coming over then why are cooking?
Asuka: Just some wife practice, I noticed that (Y/n) has been beating me in the cooking department so I thought I'd make him something, for when he comes over soon.
Misato: Well aren't you being a sweetheart, wait soon? Why is he bringing Shinji home?
Asuka: I'm trying to be, and I'm not sure. Something about Kaji that I should know. I'm just trying to be useful, especially after what Dr. Akagi told me...
Brief flashback
-Asuka's POV-
On the day of (Y/n) and mine's date, after we got called in to run EVA drills I was in the locker room about to take a shower until Dr.Akagi came out.
Ritsuko: Good Asuka, I'm glad I caught you before you left.
Asuka: Oh Dr. Akagi, what's wrong? Is something the matter?
Ritsuko: A little but it is a bit concerning. Mind if we chatted for a bit?
Asuka: Sure...
We went to a secluded spot in the locker room and she told me that-
Ritsuko: Asuka, your synch rate has been dropping over the last few weeks. It was just small changes at first but as I was reviewing the data, I noticed the drop.
Asuka: I-Is there any way for it to stop dropping or boost up my rate?
Ritsuko: I'm sorry but no. At least not at the moment. This synch rate system is still new and EVAs can be so complex that there isn't a surefire way of fixing this.
