Everyone started eating and she quietly sat beside Samrat looking expectantly at everyone.

Samrat gestured at her to eat but she just threw him a dirty glare. "Arre rukhiye, sabko khane toh dijiye. Bina inke review ke mere halak se niwala niche nhi uthrega", she whispered, he thought to object at first but decided otherwise and indulged himself in his plate with a frown.

"Khana toh accha bana leti ho" " Dadi decided to break the icy silence as she complimented her food, making a huge smile break on Adriti's face.

"Wakai khana accha banaya hai beta", her mother-in-law added and Adriti's happiness knew no bounds. She was partially flying with her imaginary wings, floating through the seventh cloud.

Dadi gestured for her to come closer and she happily obliged. She gave her, their family's khandaani kangan.

"It's supposed to be passed on to the eldest daughter-in-law of the family, make sure you never lose them, they are the family's heirloom", she warned and made her wear them

"Thank you dadi", she happily squealed and took her in a side hug. "Bas bas ab yeh battisi dikhana bandh Karo. Bas mere pote ka acche se khayal rakhna aur jald se jald mujhe mere par pota ya poti ki shakal dikha dena", dadi said

"Per dadi, yeh kuch karte hi kaha hai, kal bhi toh Sula hi Diya tha mujhe", Adriti instantly added making Samrat choke on the food he was eating and the whole table erupted in laughter

Adriti quickly realised the blunder she created and looked down biting her lips, as her cheeks heated up. Samrat stared at his wife flabbergasted at her unfiltered mouth.

The rest of the breakfast was followed by the whole family passing the newlywed couple teasing glances.

Once they were in their room, Samrat pinned her to the nearest wall and trapped her hand above her head.

"S-samrat ch-choriye mujhe", she smattered as their closeness was affecting her

"Kuch jyada hi excited nhi ho tum suhagraat ke liye", he spoke, lifting his eyebrows

"I-I", she shattered not being able to form a sentence. "Kyu? Abhi bolti kyu bandh ho gyi tumhari? Niche toh bohot bol rhi thi", he whispered against her lips pressing her more to himself

Both gaze deeply into each other but their moment is disturbed by his phone call. He looked at the caller id and excused himself, Adriti mentally thanked the person on the other side and heaved a sigh of relief. Her whole face was beetroot because of their proximity.

"Taiyar ho jao Riti, pagfere ki rasam ke baad, shopping jana hai. Remember our honeymoon is still due", Samrat said with a teasing glint

"Honeymoon per kapdo ki kya hi zarurat", she spoke and instantly bit her tongue closing her eyes at her stupidity. Meri zaban per kaabu kyu nhi rhta

Samrat stared at his wife aghast, as if she had grown two horns. Just what was this woman? He thought. His sweet, simple and innocent wife was voicing out her wild thoughts without any filter in front of him. Ek raat meh kya jaadu tona ho gaya iss par?

But he smirked when he found her biting her lips and closing her eyes in embarrassment.

"Accha toh honeymoon per kapde nhi pahne jate?", he teased stepping towards her. "M-mera m-m-matlab pehne jaate hai, p-per vho bhi k-kuch karna h-hota hai na t-toh", she shuttered and stepped back turning into the deepest shade of scarlet.

He deeply gazed into his eyes, trying to find something and his heart felt at peace when he found them filled with love.

She buried her head in his shoulder not able to hold his strong gaze as he held her. All that she could think was that she needed him at every phase of life. She needed his arms around her whenever she was in danger, not to only protect her but to comfort her and tell her that he was there, there for her. She needed him to hold her close and whisper that no matter how big of a fight they had, they'd always find a way to be together.

And Samrat thanked his stars for bringing her into his life. For him, she had got the arms he wanted to be wrapped in. She had got those captivity brown orbs he wanted to get lost in. The enchanting smile, he could never resist. The melodious voice, he could go on listening for hours. Because he had already decided on her, he wanted her and only her.

"I love you", he whispered
"I love you too", she whispered back

And here we officially end the story, 'Dil bimar' of the first couple of 'Ishqiya' series.
Hope you liked and enjoyed reading the story, just the way I did while writing it. TBH! I completed writing this in two days, the fastest I've ever written!!

Since I said I couldn't write a full-blown novel because of my studies, I'll only be writing short stories. Soon the new couple's troop will be dropped.

The epilogue of 'Dil bimar' will be out soon, so stay tuned.
