Chapter 6

"This is really stupid but..." He heard Nat sighing again. "He wants to see me again tomorrow, and I think he really likes me, and I kinda like him too but... Oh god, I really don't know what to do. He's like a romantic hero straight from the movies and books! He loves to skydive, too! Can you believe that?"

Nat continues to talk and Nunew listen to his cute friend. Nat sometimes cry and then will laugh again. He knows very well what Nat's problem is. He was once cheated by his boyfriend when he was still in college. They'd had their revenge, allright, but Nat was never the same after that.

"Oh Jelly... This is really stupid, I know... But... But... I don't know." Nat continues to rumble.

Nunew tell Nat what the latter can't say directly. "Do you like him, Nat?" Nat didn't say anything.

"Max Kornthas is not Jirakit Metanee. Don't judge him base on something that he didn't even do. You even said Max was your friend. Nat dear, don't let that Jirakit bastard do this to you. He'd hurt you before but don't let him continue to hurt you. Come On, Nat. Go out and take Max!"

He heard Nat's sob. "Oh NhuNu... Do you really think I should do this?"

"If you like him, I think you should. Whatever happens, Me and Queen James got your back. We'll ruin that bastard if he hurts you."

Nat sob again and now his voice husky from crying. "Thanks Jelly. I know how irritating I sound when I'm hysterical. Thank you for sticking with me even when I'm being a whiny brat."

Nunew can't help but laugh. He started to fix his things. "Oh. We're all brats. But you haven't experience the Queen... I swear James is the worst."

"Yes. I agree. But Nhu, Thank you for listening. You know I can't open up to P'James. You know he will just scold me."

"You'll do the same for me. I'm really sorry that I can't come to your place tonight. I just really need to attend Harit's Opening Party.

"It's okay. Say hi to your Mum and Harit for me."

"Okay."

"And Nhu?" Nat said. Nunew thought that Nat will say goodbye now.

"Yes?"

"You too. You should let other people in, too."

Nunew don't know how to respond. He just stare at the file case that he was trying to reach.

"I know." Nunew finally said. "Bye Jelly."

"Take care while driving." Nat ended the call.

Nunew sigh deeply and then continued fixing his things on his desk.

Nunew was late for his brother's bakery shop opening. The opening party starts at six in the evening while he reached the place at six thirty. He can all blame it to traffic.

"NuNew!" A middle aged woman kissed him on the cheeks the moment she saw him step inside the venue.

"Auntie Junhee." He greeted the middle aged woman politely. "Namping is here too?" Nunew was referring to the lady's son that he used to tutor before.

"Yes. He's with Harit. Nhu, you look beautiful as always. I love your outfit."

He was wearing a very simple baby blue dress shirt with a few buttons open, a very fitted black trouser and a pair of designer leather shoes. He was holding a bouquet of roses that he bought for Harit. "Thanks Auntie Junhee."

"Nhu!"

He turn around when he heard his name being called. It was Nadech, one of his childhood friend. He was with a few people who looks familiar to him.
