No Strings Attached

Chapter 5

The lights in the living room is now on and he was greeted by the loud cries of Toy. Sarawat went out of the boy's room, carrying the young boy.

Nunew gasp when he saw the broken arms of Toy and it was bleeding.

"Oh my god." He dash towards them.

There are so many blood.

"I'll leave the children with you okay? I'll take Mrs. Han with me to the hospital." Sarawat hurriedly but careful run towards the door. Nunew followed him.

Mrs. Han, the orphanage cook was already inside Sarawat's car carrying a big bag. The car was already open and Sarawat carefully place the injured boy beside Mrs. Han.

"I'll call you once we are in the hospital okay?" Sarawat said. "Okay. Please be careful on your way. Tell me if you need anything."

"Okay." His gaze divert at the back and his brows furrowed when he remember that Zee was with him.

His heartbeat starts to race and his cheeks blushed. "Watt, I~~~"

Sarawat gave him a meaningful glare as if telling him that they will talk later. "Call me if you need anything."

Sarawat nods and then step inside the driver's seat. After a few seconds, Nunew heard the sound of the car engine and Sarawat's car finally left the orphanage.

Nunew's gaze continue to follow Sarawat's car. He can't remove on his mind the image of Toy's bloodied and injured arm. When he can no longer see the car, he turns towards Zee. Zee was imposing as he stood there, bathed in the dim light of a single lamp post.

"You better go." He opened the gate but Zee still there not moving an inch like Roman God.

"Aside from the children, do you have anyone to accompany you here?" Nunew shook his head.

"There's no other volunteer except~~~"

"I'll stay for awhile." Zee pull the gate to close it.

Nunew once again felt very irritated. "Look, Zee~~~"

Nunew heard cries inside the house and immediately panic and run inside the house.

The cries came from the room of the young children. When he enters the room he saw Sarang and Jaeyun trying to coo the little ones.

"P'New~~" Sarang's eyes still red. A sign that she just woke up.

Nunew took charge and started acting like an adult that he is. "Sarang, Jaeyun, go back to sleep. I'll take care of this okay?"

The two nods but before Sarang leaves he tug Nunew's sweatpants. "P, they are crying because they saw Toy bleeding" She said.

Nunew nods. When the two girls left, Nunew sat in bed, rubbing the little ones back and lovingly coo the four little children until they fell asleep again.

He saw Zee standing at the door, staring at him. His eyes had magnetic properties and Nunew was sure about it. He tried not to look at Zee.

Nunew didn't like seeing him there. He was like a horrendously misplaced erotica puzzle piece in a Mickey Mouse puzzle.

Nunew tried to open his mouth to say something. "Zee, can you please turn off the lights."

Zee immediately follow his request.

The room was filled with darkness with only the lights from outside of the window as the source of light. Zee looked like a fallen angel as the brightness of the moon highlight his features.

"I'll checked if the doors and windows are locked." Zee quietly leaves and Nunew feel that the atmosphere lightens.

When Nunew felt that the children are in deep slumber, he carefully stood up and went straight to the bathroom.
