Chapter 4: night confessions

Aight so uh here's a list of things why I didn't update for so long:

1. Exams from one school
2. Holidays (i went to the beach with my family)
3. came back with no motivation
4. FOUND OUT THERE ARE MORE EXAMS FROM MY OTHER SCHOOL
5. forced to study for that exam
6. suddenly had an idea for another story (mha x bsd crossover)

Yes, I attend two schools. 1 in the morning and 1 at night.

No, it is not just classes, it's a whole damn school.

KAISER'S POV

I tossed my phone aside, Yoichi's Instagram page still open but now a source of agitation rather than admiration.

"Ness, you and Nobaru are like fire and ice. Can't tell who's colder," I mused, attempting to lighten the tension that brewed in our room.

Ness shot me a look. "Me? Cold? No way, I'm just... I don't know... trying to survive this rivalry of ours by you know..."

I couldn't help but chuckle. "Survive or secretly enjoy, hm?"

Ness rolled his eyes, but a faint smile betrayed his facade. "Okay, maybe a bit of both. But you, Kaiser, you're diving headfirst into this Yoichi obsession. What's the deal?"

I sighed, rubbing my temples. "I don't know. It's like... I've found something intriguing, something magnetic about him. It's not just the soccer skills or his posts. There's more, something I can't put my finger on."

Sounds like a classic crush situation," Ness teased, nudging my arm.

"Shut it, you're no help," I shot back playfully, though the truth in his words made me uneasy.

With a deep sigh, I retrieved my phone, closing the app and attempting to stifle the thoughts that threatened to consume me. "I should probably get some sleep," I muttered, pulling the covers over myself.

Ness nodded, already lost in his own digital world again. "Yeah, game day tomorrow. We gotta be sharp."

"Oh, please. Says the one who's still on his phone." I scoffed.

The morning sunlight filtered through the blinds, gently rousing me from a restless night's sleep.

Ness, ever the morning person, was already up and about, clad in his training gear. He shot me an encouraging smile, sensing the internal struggle I was grappling with. "Big day, Kaiser. Let's give it our all."

"Yeah, big day," I echoed, attempting to muster the same enthusiasm. "How are you so energetic although you went to sleep before me?" I muffled my voice in the pillows.

"Don't know."

As we made our way to the field, the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation. The tension in the air was palpable, not just for me, but for the entire team.

"Let's give it our best, I guess?"

Yo_i:

Ka_serI:

i wasnt informed of this earlier wtf

i just so happened to have free time after the game so get into gear before comign

"Kaiser," he greeted.

"Yoichi," I replied, a smirk playing on my lips. "Ready for a little one-on-one training?"

"One-on-one? I gotta warm up a little first, wait."

"You didn't prepare before coming?"

"Well sorry my whole yard isn't a fucking field for football."

I chuckled, the banter providing a momentary respite from the underlying currents. "Bring it on, Yoichi. Let's see what you've got."

Between each drills and physical training, Yoichi rested on the edge of the field, laying on the fence. 

"Well? Have you felt like you've improved yet?" I beside him, although I looked like I was in a much better condition than him.

"It's literally been 1 hour. Although... I do feel kinda... how do I say this?"

"Refreshed?"

"The opposite." Isagi shook his head.

"Must be a difference between us then."

"Kinda feels like a dance, to be honest. A tiring dance."

"Unique way to describe football, Yoichi."

"I've never felt like football being a dance... it's more...- nevermind."

"Had your break?"

"Mhm hm." He nodded.
