Lay here with me

I beg, a silent plea
For you to stay here with me
Where sky and sea meet, where land and water war. Where ash turns to dust and old life gives way to new. Where nature will lay claim to that forgotten and unused.

I crave for you to see my scars, to kiss them gently and watch your eyes shine like the stars
All that glitters is not gold, a saying I have done well to know
Eyes glazed with tears, filled with sorrow
Honeyed eyes and deep earthy tones
Haunt my dreams and this you shall know.

I will stay with you until you wake, the sound of your speech soothes my soul
I love like a dog, many will say
And agree I will to others' dismay
I would give up my everything to stay with you
My mind is a mess, a loud space of noise, of chaos, where nothing will mesh.

Backed into a corner for far too long, my teeth bared and in my chest a hollowed song
Where pieces were shattered and reformed
Lie with me here in the early morn, when the moon sees the sun, lovers torn
Stay with me as I show
The little pieces of me my father had once known.

When my tongue will fail me my writing will not
Late night words, more than just thoughts
Lie with me here as I weep, and await the dawn for reasons unknown
My story is one I wish for you to know, each heart ache and trail, each victory and smile.

So lie with me here, as the dusk fades, and the light will shine a brighter day. Learn every piece of me, a metaphor, a mystery. Know that every faded scar, will shine for you my beautiful star.
