It's a dark and stormy night, you are driving home from work. As you drive, you notice a strange figure standing on the side of the road. You slow down to take a better look, but the figure is so obscured by the rain that you can't make out any details. You continue driving, your mind racing with possibilities as to who or what this figure might be. You glance back in your rearview mirror, but the figure has disappeared into the darkness. You continue your drive home, feeling uneasy about the encounter.
As you drive, you continue to glance in your rearview mirror, hoping for another glimpse of the mysterious figure. But the rain and poor visibility make it impossible to see anything behind you. You drive in silence, listening intently for any sign of the figure. After a few minutes, you reach your house and park your car in the garage. You exit the vehicle and walk toward the front door, but something catches your eye.

Was it really there this whole time? How long has it been watching you? You back away slowly towards your front door. But as you reach for the handle, you hear a creak on the porch. You slowly turn around.
It's you. That's impossible, you think. But as the figure looks at you, its face becomes clearer. It's definitely you. Except...it's the version of you from another timeline. Its eyes are filled with hatred as it charges at you, swinging its chainsaw. You try to run, but it's already on top of you. You scream and close your eyes, and then...everything goes black. You wake up in the hospital, covered in bandages and attached to a bunch of machines. You try to speak, but your throat hurts too much. A doctor walks in, but you can't see her.
