"How did you get that done so fast?" Lourdes asked as she entered the house to find a floral arrangement placed on the kitchen island.
Luis smiled.
"As soon as the doctor confirmed your pregnancy, I had your sister go and get the floral arrangement made to celebrate, thank you for bringing our first child together into this world and show you how much I love you, Lo," Luis answered.
Lourdes' breathy giggles filled the air.
"I love you too," Lourdes said as she jumped in his arms.
Luis caught her and smiled.
"We're having a baby, Lourdes," Luis said.
"I know, I'm carrying our baby," Lourdes said as she drew a line down his nose bridge and tapped his nose before wrapping her arms around his neck.
Early in the morning, Lourdes made an appointment with her family physician to confirm her pregnancy. Her doctor had an available appointment for the day so she and Luis were able to go. The sooner the better, right? They went in and her doctor confirmed she was six weeks pregnant.
Six weeks pregnant.
Lourdes couldn't believe it.
She's about one month and two weeks pregnant with Luis' baby.
"What are we?" Lourdes asked.
"A couple, hopefully, we can be man and wife soon, if that's what you want," Luis answered.
