Gordon lies down on the bed.

"This is very comfortable." He says.

"You wait. The mattress I have in my room at mama's house is so soft. It's incredible." She says.

Brianna climbs into the bed next to him.

"Do you want to watch the tv?" She asks.

"Tv?" He says.

"The television. That box." She says pointing with the remote.

She turns it on.

"I'll let you decide. We can watch the news, the price is right or On her majesty's secret service?" She says.

"Which one would I like?" He asks.

She moves closer to him and places an arm over his chest.

"On her majesty's secret service is a movie about this spy called James Bond. Everyone loves James Bond." She says.

"A movie?" He says.

She giggles. "Yeah, it's like watching a play, sort of. It's watching a story."

She puts it on.

Gordon sits for the next two hours watching the film, barely speaking, his eyes captivated by the screen.

Brianna looks at his face and takes her hand to stroke his cheek.

"You like it?" She says.

He looks to her, "Aye. Are there more movies?"

She nods. "Thousands."

Once the credits have played, Brianna changes the channel again.

Gordon lies completely down until he stares at the ceiling.

"What job should I do?" He asks.

"You can do most things. You'd be a good teacher, or a labourer." She says.

"Do they provide enough?" He says.

"More than enough. Mama left a host of wealths here when she left. I think neither of us could work for 15 years and we'd be fine." She says.

"I want to go on a plane...to Scotland." He says.

"You know what I'm looking forward to, buying you clothes." She says.

"We can just make them." He says.

"No. No one makes their own clothes anymore. Not really. We can buy you jeans, and sneakers." She says.

"Sneakers?" He says.

"Sporty shoes." She says.

They continue talking for a while before they drift off to sleep.

When the light starts to crack into the room, Gordon wakes to the sound of Donnie crying. He gets up and takes Donnie from the pull out.

He lifts him up onto his chest and rubs his back. He rocks him for a few moments before sitting back down next to Brianna.

Donnie falls back asleep in Gordon's arms. After a while, Brianna wakes.

"I didn't even hear him." She says.

"He didn't stir long." He says.

Brianna sits up slightly and moves closer to Gordon.

"Did you sleep well?" She asks.

"Very well. This mattress. It's magic." He says.

She runs her hand up and down his arm.

"First stop today, clothes." She says.
