Jake lets out a brief chuckle as he resituates himself atop one of the office chairs, "Sureee."

Sujin ignores the teasing lilt to the boy's voice and mannerisms as she spins around to zone all her attention into fastening the slim piece of material around her neck. She's definitely gotten better at it over the last few days - but still, that's not to say she's any good. Especially when it comes to having to rely on pure muscle memory without the aid of Sora and her usual trusty YouTube tutorials.

Make sure the wider end hangs a little lower than the other.

Cross it over and pull it through from below.

Pull it to the left, then around to the right.

Or was it right, then around to the left?

She frowns and scraps the first attempt, deciding to start from scratch.

Okay, it was definitely left first.

Pull it back up from the front.

Then loop it 'round again to the left.

Wait. Maybe that was meant to be to the right.

Shit!

She starts again.

Meanwhile, Jake has to bite down on his lip to keep from laughing as he watches this saga unfold through Sujin's reflection.

He finds it all quite amusing; a little pitiful, but in an endearing kind of way. It vaguely reminds him of those videos Jungwon likes to send him of baby deers attempting to walk for the first time... if they were capable of dishing out about a dozen different cuss words in the span of a minute, that is.

He absentmindedly observes how the girl's normally sharp, feline-like eyes soften when she's in deep concentration. How she shares his own habit of mumbling seemingly incoherent sentences to herself without realizing it. The way her lips tend to quirk to one side as she gnaws on the inside of her cheek, poking a small dimple into her flushed skin.

Huh. He's never noticed that before...

"Quit staring, Sim."

Sujin purses her lips - Goodbye, dimple! - to shoot a glare at the boy, who does little to nothing to mask the blatant act.

"Carry on, sunshine." He pulls his hands out from his front pockets to raise them in mock surrender, "Don't let me distract you."

"Don't flatter yourself too much." She rolls her eyes. Only once she's sure he's no longer studying her every move, she continues her previous task.

Okay, where were we...

Pull it to the right.

Cross it over to the front and through the loop.

Did I just skip a step?

Or repeat one?

Oh my f-

"You're really bad at this, y'know." Jake muses.

Another glare in the mirror, "Shut up."

Leave it to Han Sujin to remain cold and stubborn as ever, even when it's obvious she's struggling.

Jake watches the girl make about another five missteps before he decides to finally offer some helpful input.

"It goes the other way." He pipes up, meeting her eyes in their reflection once again, "Left, and then right. I mean, unless you're going for a back-to-front kinda thing..."
