It had taken him a little while to finish unpacking and organizing everything in his room, as Kai officially planned to stay here.

He liked the way he organized his room.

His bed was covered with some aqua sheets that Beomgyu had given him, with his favorite penguin plushie and Goguma sitting against the pillow. The closet was filled with all of his clothes, and on the desk he placed all his writing equipment: notebooks, pens, erasers, pencils, sharpeners, and extra ink.

It felt rather homey.

Kai frankly didn't mind the reservation being canceled by now.

And that was when he felt his stomach grumble.

Which is when he realized that his last meal was breakfast this morning in Hawaii.

"Oh. Might as well eat something."

The ravenette headed down the stairs into the kitchen. To his surprise, Beomgyu was there, cooking something on the stove.

He was now dressed in long sleeved baggy clothes, hiding his entire figure, and wore a headband to keep his hair out of his face as he cooked.

"Oh, I didn't expect you here," Kai cheerfully greeted him.

"Well, it is the evening already. I usually eat when it's near sunset," Beomgyu replied.

"Aha."

Kai came closer to take a better look at the hearth.

"So, what are you cooking?"

"Chicken."

"You have some?!"

"I wouldn't be cooking it if I didn't have it."

"I mean— where did you get it from?"

Beomgyu chuckled.

"A market closeby."

"Oh."

"It comes every Sunday, so I shop for my groceries that day."

"You don't go into the main city?"

He shook his head.

"Why?"

"Cities are too noisy. I live in one myself, and I came here to... escape some of that noise."

"Where do you live in Korea?"

"You have a lot of questions."

"Well... I do wanna get to know you a little better," Kai added.

"Ahh..."

Beomgyu added some seasoning.

"That's not such a good idea," he muttered.

Kai frowned.

"What?"

"Nothing."

He hastily stirred the flesh white meat.

"I live in the capital city of South Korea," he decided to answer.

It's a harmless question after all.

"Seoul?"

"Yes, since I was 17. I was born in the countryside next to it, so it doesn't really count."

"Oh... how old are you?"

"I'm 21."

Kai's eyes widened in surprise.

"21?"

Beomgyu nodded.

"Yeah."

"I would've thought you were younger; you look so young."
