Autumn Breeze

19 4 9

We danced through the forest
and swayed to the wind
Envelopped in the scent of nuts with a golden hint

Red, green and yellow leaves
bowed before us
Listen to their story; close your eyes if you must

Breathe in the chestnuts
and the dew on the trees,
Take in the silence and the soft autumn breeze

Let them take you to kingdoms far away,
if you ask them nicely, I'm sure you can stay

But know the price for an eternity here,
the fae will take all that's you dear

So listen to their stories, but don't stay too long

It's the human realm where you belong
