A string of lies

Chapter One ( How it all started)

"Don't leave me mummy,please don't go I promise to be a good girl if u stay, please mummy please" A little girl cried as the doctors rushed her mom for emergency surgery, she cried her heart out until her dad came to console her, A few hours later the doctor came to tell them if the moms surgery was a success or fail.
"Doctor please how's my wife, can I see her now" The little girls father cried "I'm afraid her time has come to rest in heaven sir" The doctor said.
The little girl stood there in shock as tears rolled down her chicks, her dad couldn't believe it, he then started fighting the doctor demanding to see his wife, security officer's had to try their best to stop him, it was certain that the little girl's dad was not mentally stable to drive home l, so his brother was called to take them home.

[TEN YEARS LATER]
"Good morning dad" The little girl said "Good morning to you to Paula" The little girls dad said.
~Paula- What did you make for breakfast??.
~P-dad- Come, come and see I made your favorite pancakes with moms secret sauce.
~Paula- Thanks dad.

She said as she gave him a little kiss on his forehead, she carried the food rushed to eat it, went outside, grabbed her bike and went to school "Drive safely her dad shouted.

[In school]
Paula was walking while holding a stack of books that covered her face which made it difficult for her to see, she was not watching where she was going then all of a sudden BAM she hit a girl and all the books came crashing to the floor, the girl helped her pick up the books and introduce her self "Hey I'm Emma next time please be more careful" then she just left. Paula piled up the books again and went heading for her locker and luckily this time she did not crash into anyone.

[In Class]
Paula was in class and did not concentrate because she was thinking of the times she had with her late mum the teacher noticed that she was not listening and decided to ask Paula a question.
Teacher- Paula stand up and answer question 3 (Paula didn't move) Paula didn't u hear me I said stand up (Paula didn't move) can someone wake that girl up for me.

~1st student- Paula, Paula wake up.
~Paula- (surprised) What...what..mum why are you here.
~2nd student- Who are you talking to.
~Paula- Ummm.... Doctor no Dad no Emma no Paula no............ Infact just forget.
~Teacher- I've been calling u since and u did not answer, meet me later today in the staff room, now get out of my class (Paula leaves) as I was saying the only way to solve this equation is to use the formula..................................................

[In the staff room]
Paula stepped in and waited near the teachers deck, then she saw a book titled 'MIRABELLE'S RETURN' she checked to see if anyone was watching her, since no one was she quickly slipped the book into her blazer, like about 10 minutes later the teacher came in, she blabbed about why would she be wasting her Saliva on a student who didn't want to learn and Hope u know your school fees does not grow from trees. After the teacher finished, Paula left and went straight to the library.

[In the library]
Paula immediately went to her favorite table to read the book on her way there she stumbled and fell a book on the floor she picked up the book and the title amazed her so she decided to pick the book and read it.
When she got to the table she totally forgot about the book she stole from her teacher and opened the other book as soon as she opened it she felt a cold wind rush through her hand, before you know it the Liberian started coughing out blood some students went to call teachers and by the time the time they contacted the ambulance and it arrived she was already dead. Everything felt so sudden and strange to Paula but she didn't go to check on everything and instead continued to read the book by the time she reached chapter two she felt the same wind rush through her hand and just like the Liberian a teacher passing by started coughing out blood and died 10 minutes later. So many people cried and most were talking in shock about it all. Before Paula could read more Emma stopped her.

~Emma- You will have to stop now.
~Paula- No I won't u can't control my life.
~Emma- I'm serious if keep reading it ur going to kill more people.
~Paula- What do u mean??.
~Emma- I'm not joking you have to believe me.
~Paula- Wait a minute u actually think that cause I'm reading a book people will die.
~Emma- Ofcourse I think so I've been watching you and people has been dying ever since you opened that book.
~Paula- Ummm... Creep alert besides mind your business.
Paula then started reading more and when she opened another page the same thing that happened to the Liberian and the other teacher happened to the janitor but the only difference is that he died faster.
Emma quickly then carried the book from her and put it back on the shelf. "Hey what gives" Paula said in annoyance "Are you seriously asking me that question I had to do it cuz it is so obvious that......." Emma was cut short by a police man "Hey girls you need to leave this library now, we are undergoing an investigation" "No problem we will leave" Emma said as she grabbed Paula's hand and dragged her out of there and luckily Paula managed to grab the book she stole.
