Her lips red as pomegranate

Her words sweet like honeyed rhyme

She couldn't look away as she ate

Bread with olive oil a taste sublime

The oil started flowing down her arm

Tracing a shining path on its way

It felt like a charm

Being sucked in like there's no other day

She followed it with her eyes

It stopped at her elbow

And dripped onto the ground

Rorhena didn't say anything to her men and turned back towards me:

"Do you want to try?"

I did my best to stay put. Rorhena's eyes traced down to my left leg and when they came back to my eyes, I felt my heart freeze. Play it cool. I couldn't hold a sword in front of her. It was possible that my body didn't remember anything from our training but I wasn't sure.

"Can we?"

Rorhena didn't even look at Lenora, her eyes not leaving my face for a second.

"That would be so cool! I always wanted to hold a sword."

Rorhena tilted her head slightly:

"You haven't answered, Vindona."

I rolled my eyes:

"Stop ignoring my friend."

Rorhena didn't answer, still staring at me. Fearing that I would get mad, Lenora grabbed my arm:

"It's okay. I got a bit taken away."

I shook my head:

"You didn't do anything wrong. She's the one who was being disrespectful."

I looked at Rorhena. I knew that she wouldn't apologize but still wanted to make her understand that she was in the wrong. However when I met her eyes I couldn't help flinching. She was staring straight at Lenora's hands, her eyes shining. I was scared that she would cut Lenora's hands off and pushed her away gently:

"If you want to try, Lenora, then go ahead."

Now that Lenora had let me go, Rorhena finally looked back at me. I had to admit that it was way better having her look at me than at Lenora.

"What about you, Vindona?

-I don't have to answer considering that I'm not Vindona.

-Do you want to practice in memory of the good old days?

-We didn't have any good days together, Your Highness."

Rorhena crossed her arms on her chest:

"Are you scared that you're not strong enough anymore?"

I had to hold back from smacking her head off.

"I am not scared of such things, Your Highness.

-Then it won't be a problem for you to have a sparring match against me.

-I don't know how to spar. I wouldn't be an interesting opponent.

-Don't worry. You were never good."
