Destiny is bitter

Who asked you to put me at the end

Why couldn't I live longer

Or at least not meet this end

I looked away thinking that Rorhena would finally leave me alone but the next second she grabbed my chin and forced me to look back at her. Her silver eyes could have caught on fire any second but I still couldn't be scared of her:

"It was an accident.

-I thought the Goddess never made any mistakes.

-Not one second did I think about killing you.

-Good for you but why would you tell this to me? I am not Vindona."

I tried pulling my head away but Rorhena was too strong.

"You can try playing dumb as long as you want. I will patiently correct you."

Having said that, she sat back down and went back to sipping her tea. I didn't even realize that I was staring at her and woke up only when she handed me a cup that wasn't containing tea but pomegranate ice cream. I stared at it for a long time and really wanted to eat it but it was frustrating never having the last word with her. Seeing me stare, Rorhena smiled:

"Did you think that triggering me would be enough to make me leave?"

I pinched my lips. I hated how superior she behaved but seeing me frustrated only made Rorhena's smile widen:

"You love pomegranates. Try this.

-Stop talking as if you knew me."

She didn't answer but didn't put the cup down either.

"I don't want it."

I knew that I was being childish but the Crown Princess was acting crazy so I had every right to behave the way I wanted.

"I see."

She put the cup down and didn't say anything more, still not leaving the room.

She had been sitting there for two hours and I had no idea when she would finally leave. Having no idea what to do and feeling uncomfortable I decided to eat but the only thing left was that ice cream. I wanted to eat it but didn't want Rorhena to win. After half an hour more of sitting, I gave up. Who cared about what Rorhena thought?

As expected she smiled when I grabbed the cup but I continued ignoring her. I tasted the melted cream and couldn't help my eyes lighting up. It tasted amazing. Way better than any dessert I had ever tasted before.

"You always loved pomegranates."

I immediately got my frown back:

"I told you to stop acting as if you knew me.

-But I do.

-You made me lose my appetite."

I put the cup down and laid back under the covers:

"I want to sleep."

Rorhena didn't say anything and I turned to her:

"Won't you leave?"

She tilted her head:

"I won't make any noise.

-That's not the problem. I can't sleep if you stay here.

-Do you want me to sing you a lullaby."

I thought I would choke. Seeing Rorhena get up and sitting down next to me on the bed made me quickly roll away:
