I refuse to answer Professor McGonagall's questions and any detentions I receive for not answering her questions I blatantly ignore her in.

Now we're waiting outside the castle for the delegations of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang to arrive.

I'd cast a blanket heating charm over the first and second years of each house discretely when I moved the shivering.

"Hey look!" Colin called, pointing to the sky.

I look and Zoom in, see a massive carriage with winged horses of a matching size flying through the air.

"I wonder what sort of Enchantments they had to use to keep that thing in the air" Hermione comments from beside me.

"Featherlight and a Wardstone likely. And a few charms to avoid the bumpy ride to translate to the expanded interior" I analyse carefully.

It lands with a few bounces that has me wince, hoping they'd thought of countering the way that would translate to the inside.

A large group of girls in silken blue uniforms came out, butterflies adding to the effect.

A loud flushing noise has everyone turn to the lake where slowly, a large pirate ship was rising from under the water.

The Beauxbatons group had gone in wth a few annoyed glances at the lake, clearly they were upset Durmstrang crewed up their entrance.

Or they were upset since the noise meant nobody could hear them.

The Durmstrang contingent was filled with rough burly looking guys in thick Woolen outfits that clearly said ice was a common thing they saw.

"Olympe! Igor! It's been while" Dumbledore greeted the giant woman and tall sallow looking man. "Smooth trips I hope?"

"It was smoother than most" Igor said sullenly, looking uncomfortable. "Let's get inside"

And without much effort the we all found. Our way inside and to the House Tables.

Dumbledore stood at his podium with a casket beside him and waited till everyone had sat down before he began to speak.

"Now, I'm sure you're all hungry so I'll keep this short. Tomorrow night our impartial judge will choose the Champion from each school. To put your name in for consideration you must put it on a slip of paper, along with your school and put it in the Goblet of Fire!"

With a wave of his wand the casket opened and a large wooden ornate cup floated out, the casket was transfigured into a stone pillar talk enough that only talk people could reach up to it.

"The age limit means anybody 17 and older as of today can enter but nobody else! My Age Line will simply allow anyone under to not be able to get close! Enjoy the feast!" Large platters of food appeared in front of everyone, foods I didn't recognise were also mixed amongst them.

"Ooh Bouillabaisse!" Hermione reached for a broth eagerly.

"Bless you" Ron said.

"It's a dish Ron, I had it in France during the summer, it's actually quite good" She ladled a large bowl of the stuff.

"If you say so" He looked distrustfully at the broth before grabbing a chicken leg. I turn away before he began his feeding frenzy.

Sometimes I ask myself why I'm his friend then remember he was my first friend.

But that's not true is it?

What're you talking about he's done so much for me!

Has he? First year. All he did was get you into trouble and be a coward. The Midnight duel, he accepted on your behalf.
