Chapter 11: Back at the capital...again

"Hey, Nash!"

"But you know..." the boy continued, walking closer to the ash blond boy. "If by a very, very small chance you got into the magic knights, I'll believe in possibilities, I'll believe I can become anything!"

Nash looks more determined than anything as he puts all his trust in Asta. Miki who is looking at their interaction, couldn't help but smile.

"Here goes Asta inspiring others again." She couldn't help but think.

But of course, because of his "aloof" persona, he retreated back.

"You know what, nevermind."

"Then I'll be waiting for you." Asta just smiled.

"Well we'll be on then."

"H-hey! Wait up Yuno, Miki!"

Turning around for the last time, Miki waved at her second family.

"Goodbye everyone!"

Looking at the three teens walking further and further away, sister Lily couldn't help but reminisce of the past.

She remembers the first time she met Asta, who immediately fell in love with her and she had to use her magic to knock him out. She felt very sorry, but the boy seemed happy.

"Asta has always been full of energy."

"And it might be because of him, Yuno had become so strong."

She remembers the night where Asta was beaten heavily and Yuno had to carry him back, she remembers the panicked face of Miki, crying out for her to heal him. Although Yuno may look cold and tough, sister Lily knew he cared very much about those close to him.

"And there's Miki..."

She remembers the ginger girl and her parents, who would often visit their humble town. They are a wonderful couple with an equally wonderful child, so imagine her shock when she heard they had died, leaving their 5 year old daughter behind. The young girl forced herself to grow up as she took on the role of a bigger sister.

"But now she seems so happy with Asta and Yuno." Sister lily thought, happy at how far her siblings have come. She could only hope for the best for all of them.

"The royal capital, huh...I wonder what it's like?" Asked Asta. "I wonder if we'll get to meet the wizard king?"

"We need to get past the magic knights entrance exam first, then we'll talk." Yuno calmly replied.

"God I'm so excited!" Asta exclaimed before he turned around to the ginger girl who was walking behind them. "What about you Miki?"

"Oh me? I'm excited too!" Miki answered truthfully.

"Excited? Aren't you scared?" Yuno asked, although it is clearly only meant for Asta.

"Huh? Why would I be? Now come on! Let's hurry to the capital!" Asta jumped excitedly before rushing ahead.

The blond boy had already imagined himself successfully becoming the next wizard king and wooing sister Lily with him on a broom.

"Can you even ride a broom without any magic though?"

"I-I can make it work! If I never give up, anything can happen!" Asta replied back as he began to run ahead. "I'm going to leave you behind, Yuno, Miki, so hurry up!"

"You can't be serious." Yuno sigh before he catches up to his rival.

"You're not catching up to them?" Star asked.
