His tone made me glance at him." What's wrong?."

He shook his head. " It's all fine." He sipped his drink." If you say you don't have feelings for her I won't argue. she doesn't deserve someone like you anyway."

"Excuse me?." I was offended.

"Osas has gone through a lot with people especially the male. it won't be nice for her to be having feelings for an engaged man."

My frown decreased. " How do you know this?."

"I and your mom are close to her."

It still surprised me." How come she didn't tell me. Osas I mean ?."

"It may have not clicked to her."

"Is that all you wanted to talk about?." I asked.

"No actually. I'm not trying to come in between you and Zina but my spirit doesn't go well with Zina."

"What do you mean?."

"Zina is a nice girl and very beautiful but still... Do you really see her as your wife?."

Before I could say anything he continued.

"A wife is meant to be your best friend, your partner in crime. Your wife is meant to be your pillar when you need a place to hold. Your wife is your everything and from the way you act around Zina she's far from that."

"Dad. I love Zi-"

"That's the problem Seyi. You don't love her. Even your mom noticed it today."

"Mom?".

"Why did you really lie to your mom that Zina could cook?. If you really loved Zina you would try your best for your mother to accept Zina the way she is but from the way it looked, you were getting back at her for something probably and you didn't care about her feelings and whether at the end your mom may like her. You just thought of yourself. Love is not selfish Seyi and that was just what you depicted today. She may love you but do you?."

All he said was right. Yes I was getting back at her but still-

"Yes I love her dad.Just as you and mom were being childish, I was just being childish and I regretted it the moment she left the table."

He smirked. " I had said my story to help with your feelings for Osas but you using it for Zina."

"Yes dad. I'm using it for Zina cause it's Zina I'm in love with not Osas. I'm not in love with Osas and I'm not planning to."

"I never mentioned anything about being in love Osas." His grin turned to a smile.

I was getting frustrated. " But that's what your actually saying. Zina has been with me for seven good years and I've dated her for three years. I can't just leave her for a woman that I just met and whose clearly not on love with me."

"And what if she's in love you?."

I snorted." Impossible. We never see eye to eye and your talking about love."

"It's possible-"

"Dad's that enough ! ." I snapped. His eyes widened. " I'm sorry for shouting but your getting it all wrong dad. Which kind of man will I be if I leave a woman I have been dating for three years?."

"You will be the kind of man who leave someone he doesn't love for the one he loves."

I sighed." I'm not in love with Osas dad. Not now and not ever. Please just stop trying to push the idea of Osas into my mind and it's obvious that Zina is going to be a better wife to me than Osas."
