“Mom i won't get married.” i sighed heavily.

“But anak you're not getting younger.”

How many times does mom ask me about getting married ?  yeah over a countless times.

“Mom i don't even have a boyfriend and you want me to settle down ?”

Not even once in my life i had've a  boyfriend  and then  what ?  A husband ? .

“then hahanapan kita . i have a lot of amiga with unmarried children I can arrange you into a marriage”

“oh common ma, not that type of marriage ”  Saad ko habang umiiling .

“Why not, there is a possibility that you two will fall in love with each other ”

“But there is another possibility that it will just turn into a horrible marriage that are bound to fail ”

Love isn't  enough it's more than just a pure emotion. it's require loyalty,  trust , sacrifices. but love is the very first foundation of marriage and family. kaya if happen na kung walang pagmamahal paano na ang iba pang pundasyon ?

I understand mama. Since she and papa started from arrange marriage and happen to fall in love with each other but that doesn't work for everyone .

Hindi ko na siya  pinatapos pa at binaba na lang ang tawag. I'm tired of her antics.

“Tita again ?” vera handed me a cup of coffee.

I rolled my eyes. “Who else ?”

“well bakit hindi mo subukan”

“oh oh not again. the last time a agree to her, becomes my great nightmare.”

I-set up ba naman ako kay nathan. nathan was one of my high school classmate who's happen to be my mom's friend son.

But i know nathan, more than them, even than his mom. he was gay !

Men's genital ang tipo niya, and gosh karen !  i couldn't even forget his face that time when he see me.

There is only one emotion written all over on his face. Disgust. and the fact that he was my crush rival back then. a big no.

Ramdam ko ang pagpipigil niya ng tawa “ohh common”

“You know i am sure, hindi ka titigilan ni tita. Gagawa at gagawa yun ng paraan.”

“At pauli ulit lang din akong tatanggi.”

Vera look at me playfully. “bes, what if pumasok ka sa isang contractual arrangements”

Nagsalubong ang dalawang kilay ko. “Wdym ?”
