"Well, that's good to know. Soon you'll be his girlfriend then. You look like you drooling." Jisoo said as he wiped his fingers on Jennie's chin. But deep inside it hurts as fuck when Jennie said Jongin is her type of ideal man.

"No, I'm not. But- maybe soon. It's our first date so It's supposed to be that way, Ji. Now you answer me!" Jennie said looking into Jisoo's eyes, "Is it the new transfer student from Busan?"

"Yeah," Jisoo answered shortly. It bothers me to know how Jennie's first date ends up.

"Why would you do that? She'll misunderstand that!" Jennie said irritated throwing her hands in the air.

"I am just being kind, Jen. Why does it bother you so much when I do good things with girls in school?" Jisoo asked as he stood up from the bed. Back facing Jennie he can feel his chest pounding.

"Because I don't like it when girls think you like them when you are not. I don't want to people see you as a chick magnet, Jisoo. It's not you." Jennie explained as she stood up and walked in Jisoo's direction.

"I'm fine. They all knew I was just being kind. That's all." Jisoo said still back facing Jennie.

Jennie comes to Jisoo's back as she gives him a back hug.

"I'm sorry. I'm just concerned." Jennie reasoned out as she looked her eyes hugging Jisoo.

Jisoo was surprised to feel Jennie's breast in her back. Her hot body is making Jisoo feel hot too. This is not good. This is not the type he should be turned on in this kind of situation.

Jisoo pulls away from Jennie's hug not bothering to look at her as he talks, "You should go home. It's fine I understand. But it's not your problem, Jen. It's mine."

Jennie looks at Jisoo's head back feeling disappointed. Jisoo is not looking at her when he talks. It's another misunderstanding for both of them. Tonight will be one of the coldest nights of their friendship.

"Alright. I'll go home." Jennie announced as she walked away from Jisoo. Heading to his door room she opens it as she looks at Jisoo's back figure with a sad expression. Without another word from her and Jisoo, she left the room closing it.

Jisoo sighs for relief sitting down in his bed. Punching repeatedly his chest to calm it down. He feels like he'll have a heart attack.

Hearing it from Jennie hurts a lot.

The kind of ideal man I was looking for.

But- maybe soon.

Those words keep repeating over and over in his mind. He lost his best friend. Choosing friendship is more important to him rather than being committed to Jennie. Why not? Friendship has no break-ups and love quarrels.

Jennie never gave him a sign of more than friendship. So why would he confess to her when Jennie only feels for him as a childhood best friend?

Jisoo convinced himself there was no use in feeling this way to Jennie when she was ready to be Jongin's girlfriend.

When Jisoo calms down after an hour he stands up from the bed. Doing inhales and exhales before he faces his parents in the dining area.

Jisoo made his way out of his room and he walked downstairs to join his parents for dinner.

"Finally, you're here. Come eat with us." his father, Jiyong said as he saw his son.

"Sorry, I made you and Mom wait. Had to finish some of my assignments." Jisoo lies as he sits in front of his mother, Sandara.

"It's fine, son," Jiyong said as he took some food and put it on his plate and to his wife. "How's school?"

Jisoo put some food on his plate and he answered, "It's fine. Another student from a chaebol family."

"Oh, that must be Jihoon's daughter," Jiyong said as he wiped some sauce in his mouth.

"Do you know her?" Jisoo asks as he cuts some of the meat on his plate.

"I don't know her. Her father is one of the businessmen in Busan. He told me that his daughter transferred to Seoul University. Is it Hong Soojoo?" Jiyong asks as he puts some meat in his mouth.

"Yeah, that's her name," Jisoo answered as he put vegetables in his mouth.

"She's a beautiful young lady, Jisoo. Jihoon made me see one of her pictures. I don't know what that's supposed to mean but it looks like he's interested in my son when I told him." Jiyong laughed as he drank some wine.

"Hon, we're not putting Jisoo in an arranged marriage. He'll be the one to choose who he wants to be with. When the right time comes." Sandara said cutting some pork steak on her plate.

"I told Jihoon. We're not those parents to tie our children in our hands." Jiyong holds Sandara's hands reassuringly. "Where's Irene?" He looks for Sandara.

"She told me she'll have a study group I forgot to tell you. She can't reach you." Sandara smiles at Jiyong thankful that he's treating Irene like his daughter.

"I was in a meeting a while ago when I got her missed call. I'll call her later when we're done eating." Jiyong smiles back at her wife.

Jisoo looks at his parents with a smile. Even though they're in an arranged marriage they learned to love each other in time. His father respects his mother and never judges her for having a secret daughter which is his older sister, Irene.

It was a big mess when his grandparents, Jiyong parent's, knew about the secret child of Sandara Park. But it was too late when the priest announced the marriage as Mr. and Mrs. Kim.

The Kim family and Park family agreed to not make a big issue about it. Jiyong accepted Sandara for having a child with one of the businessmen in Seoul. Joongi knew about Irene and fighting for custody but the Kim couple fought for it not. Sandara has more power over Irene than Joongi and Irene chooses her mother over her father. Joongi still giving financial to Irene he can't just let go of his daughter to Sandara even though he has a family of his own.

Irene accepts her father's help for her. Joongi gave her a personal bank account of her own to put all the money there. He gave time to meet Irene for a father and daughter-date. Irene is just like their mother they don't hold grudges to anyone. But they don't like to play games with people messing them up.

Even though Irene almost took her from Sandara her father she didn't get mad for too long. She understands that her father loves her just like her mother. After all, they had been together for five years she understood her father for wanting her by his side.

"Anyway, try to be friends with Jihoon's daughter, and son. So she won't feel alone at school." Jiyong looks at his son after eating their dinner.

"Sure, Dad. I will." Jisoo nodded as he wiped his mouth.

Jiyong nodded as he stood up from his chair and went to his workroom. Returning a call to Irene so he could let her know why he didn't answer her calls a while ago.

"Only if you want to." Sandara wiped her mouth too as she leaned and grabbed her son's hands from the table.

"It's alright, Mom. Soojoo is fine." Jisoo smiled at his mother to assure her.

"Okay, but you know how Jennie gets jealous when girls try to close to you." Sandara gave her son a smirking smile.

"Don't worry, Mom. Jennie will be busy with her dates she won't give me more attention to her anymore." Jisoo said still smiling at his mother as he looked at her eyes.

"Oh, that's interesting," Sandara said smirking and raising her eyebrows looking at her son's eyes identical to hers.

Interesting indeed. Jisoo thought as he looked at his mother smirking at him.
