"Shut up you dumbass." Jeremy rolled his eyes, throwing on of my fries at the dumbass. "Just jealous you cant get some of this ass." Jeremy snickered, nudging my shoulder.

"Oh wow." I muttered, praying that the clock would speed up and lunch would be over so I only had my last two blocks to serve before I could go home and rest.

"Matthew." My foods teacher waved his hand at me, motioning for me to come join him in his office. I put the sponge down in the soapy water taking the tea towel and drying my hands before poking my head into the office. "Please sit." He moved some papers to the side of his desk before clicking some buttons on his computer. "Ive called you in here regarding your marks." He licked his lips, "When I first went over the course outline with the whole class, I mentioned that assignments are a small part of your grade, and seeing the semester is ending in two months, you are currently failing with a thirty-four." I winced at the number.

"But I haven't skipped I handed in all my assignments and I participate in every lab!" I whined, even though I knew that was a partial lie, I only washed the dishes, and let the girls in my group cook.

"Anyway, I'm going to give you a second chance. I've already called your father, Owen. And he agreed to give you a budget for ten recipes, that I e-mailed to him, and also have some copies for you." He handed me a folder of papers. "Seeing that there is a couple group assignments I'm going to allow you to take a partner from outside this class and complete all the recipes, then bring me in a sample and record it." He then handed me one of the schools cameras in a box. "The bell is going to ring soon, so go hang up your apron."

Nodding stiffly, I took the new camera off his desk and left to go hang up my apron, then to my locker to meet up with Jeremy so we could walk home.

"Hey." His soccer ball bounced on the locker beside mine making me flinch.

"What the hell!" I cursed, slamming own locker shut and shoving him in the chest, "Your so stupid." I rolled my eyes and started walking away from him.

"Hey, whats Owen making for supper?" Frowning I tried to think back to last night.

"I think he said one of his surprise dinners."

The smile appearing on Jeremys face made me smile, "Cancel all my plans, I'm coming to your house!" He nudged my shoulder with his, keeping the ball tucked under his arm.

"Oh hey, can I ask you something?"

Jeremy looked up at me and put his phone away, "Yah, whats up?"

"So... I'm failing foods an-"

He had cut me off before I could even explain. "How the hell are you failing foods?"

"Can you like shut the hell up and let me explain?" I smacked him in the back of the head, resulting in him pouting. "Anyway," I rolled my eyes, "The teacher pulled me into his office and told me basically I was failing with a thirty-four." Jeremy yelped, "And that he called my dad."

"Which one." Jeremy chuckled.

Jeremy was on of few that knew I had two dads. "Owen answered. But that's not the point! Stop interrupting me!" I whined, "He said that Owen had set out a budget and every week I have to cook one recipe and bring him a sample, and record it with this puppy." I held up the camera box.

Jeremy nodded his head, rubbing his chin, "And why do I care?"

"Your going to be my partner." I nodded my head more to myself than him.

Scoffing he looked at me, his blue eyes pouring into mind, "Who said that?"

"I did you dumbass." I punched his arm.

"You punch like a bitch." He commented.

Scoffing offended, I punched him again, "You are a bitch."

Fluttering his eyes we stopped between both of our houses.

"Ya, your bitch." He flicked his tongue out of his mouth, winking, before turning around and walking up the steps to his house , his actions causing me to become confused.

He was joking right? Well of course he was! He always has with me.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding before turning around and walking into my house.

"Hi Dad," I waved at Owen, who sat up immediately from leaning on Tylers chest and smiled shyly at me. "Dad." I pretended not to notice as I waved at Tyler walking passed them both on the couch to my room. "Oh yah, Jeremy is coming over for your food again, Owen!" I yelled.
