Saturday morning - pre qualifying
Getting to be back in the paddock was great however the levels of awkwardness were through the roof, What else would you expect when your brother's ex and teammates?
Regardless, being in the paddock again was great. Getting to see all the drivers without it being super awkward for the girl was great especially because Ophelia had already been quite good friends with most of them even before she and Lando started dating because of Daniel. But the number of times she heard "I heard what happened with you and Lando" and "You deserve better." was starting to annoy her.
Since most of the weekend, Daniel was either busy with things in the car or media it had been quite boring.
So on Saturday morning when she couldn't find her brother, she just assumed that he was away on some media duty thingy before qualifying. so the girl decided to take a walk through the paddock but when she was looking at her phone trying to find the perfect song to play. She accidentally bumped into someone.
"Dude watch where you going won't you." The voice spoke and Ophelia automatically recognised it.
"Yeah! un sorry I wasn't paying attention," Ophelia spoke back to him before his head shot straight up.
"Lia I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that," Lando told her using one of his old nicknames for her.
"Yeah, I bet." Was the thing she said before picking up her things and walking away purposely bumping his shoulder before going to find the nearest restroom.
Lando watched as the girl walked away, Annoyed that the two of them couldn't have a proper conversation. He understood that it hadn't been that long since they had broken up but all the boy wanted more than anything was to get to talk to her again.
