𝐒𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐒 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐓, 𝖺𝗇𝖺𝗄𝗂𝗇 𝗌𝗄𝗒𝗐𝖺𝗅𝗄𝖾𝗋

²⁵ 𝙱𝙰𝚃𝚃𝙻𝙴 𝙾𝙵 𝙲𝙷𝚁𝙸𝚂𝚃𝙾𝙿𝙷𝚂𝙸𝚂

"I've conceded the battle. Now we simply have to negotiate the terms of surrender." Obi-Wan said

He gestured at the table and the chairs.

"Don't try any of your tricks, Jedi." Loathsom warned

"Surely there's no reason we can't be civilized about this. 'Tis a rare honor to be able to meet one's opponent face-to-face. You're a legend throughout the Inner Core." Obi-Wan complimented

Lia rolled her eyes at this but sat down next to Obi-Wan nonetheless.

"Thank you. The honor is all mine. I'm so glad you decided to surrender." Loathsom said

"Well, at some point, one must accept the reality of the situation." Obi-Wan replied

He cleared his throat.

"Might we have some refreshments?" Obi-Wan asked

"You!" Loathsom said

He pointed at his droid assistant. 

"Bring us something liquid." Loathsom ordered

The droid saluted him and Loathsome turned back to Obi-Wan and Lia.

"Thank you. This shouldn't take long." Obi-Wan said

Lia was sipping from her drink as she laid back in her seat. Next to her, Obi-Wan was stirring his drink.

"And, of course, once you've taken custody of my troops, arrangements will need to be made for their food and shelter. Tell me, do you have enough supplies..." Obi-Wan started

"Enough of this! You are stalling!" Loathsom exclaimed

"Nonsense. General, there are numerous details to be discussed." Obi-Wan said

Loathsom shook in anger and flipped the table.

"Seize them!" Loathsom ordered

He pointed at Lia and Obi-Wan. Two B2 battle droids lifted Lia by her arms off the ground.

"Unless you call off your troops right now, I will have no choice but to destroy you." Loathsom threatened

"Truthfully, I was hoping your shield would be knocked out by now." Obi-Wan replied, flatly

He glanced up at the red shield above them. And then it was gone.

"Oh, well." Obi-Wan said

He smiled, before doing a backflip, releasing himself from the grip of the B2 battle droids. Lia, being not Force-sensitive, shook in the battle droids' arms. Obi-Wan jumped over the battle droids towards Loathsom and held him in a death grip.

"Don't shoot!" Loathsom ordered

Obi-Wan used Loathsom as his shield.

"Something appears to have happened to your shield, General." Obi-Wan said, teasingly

His comlink went off and Admiral Yularen appeared.

"General Kenobi, if you can hear me, we're through the blockade. The Separatist armada is in retreat. Your reinforcements should be landing in a moment." Yularen said

Lia looked up and saw several gunships flying over them.

"Perfect timing." Lia said

Obi-Wan tied up Loathsom.

"Let go of me, you stupid droids!" Lia ordered

She once again shook, trying to get out. The droids let go of Lia and she dropped to the ground.

"See? That wasn't so hard." Lia said, sarcastically

One of the gunships landed in front of them and out came Master Yoda and several clones.

"Your timing is perfect, Master Yoda." Obi-Wan said

Lia gazed up and saw another gunship land. Anakin and Ahsoka jumped out of it, the former looking relieved as his blue eyes found hers.

"Master Obi-Wan. Master Yoda. Miss Naberrie." Anakin greeted

He bowed to the grandmaster and gave Lia a smile, his eyes lingering on her, and Lia smiled back.

"Trouble, you have, with your new Padawan, I hear." Yoda stated

Anakin and Ahsoka exchanged a glance.

"I was explaining the situation to Master Yoda." Obi-Wan said

"Really?" Anakin said

"If not ready for a Padawan, you are, then perhaps, Obi-Wan, we can..." Master Yoda started

"No, wait a minute. I admit Ahsoka is a little rough around the edges. Bit with a great deal of training, and patience, she might amount to something." Anakin said

Ahsoka smiled up at her master.

"Then go with you, she will, to the Teth system." Yoda said

"Teth? That's Wild Space. The droid army isn't even in that sector." Anakin said, confused

"Kidnapped, Jabba the Hutt's son has been." Yoda said

"You want me to rescue Jabba's son?" Anakin questioned

"Anakin, we'll need the Hutt's allegiance to give us an advantage over Dooku." Obi-Wan reminded

"Negotiate the treaty with Jabba, Obi-Wan will. Protect the Senator, you will go back, Miss Naberrie. Find the renegades that hold Jabba's son, your mission will be, Skywalker." Yoda said

"Come on, Master, it doesn't sound that hard. I'll find Rex and get the troops organized." Ahsoka said

She ran off.

"Don't worry, Anakin. Just teach her everything I taught you and she'll turn out fine." Obi-Wan said

"You know, something makes me think this was your idea from the start." Anakin said

Lia chuckled and the married couple walked off together, while Obi-Wan spoke with Master Yoda.

"Be safe." Lia said

"You, too. I hope I get off a couple of days after this and we can go back to Naboo." Anakin said

"We'll have to wait and see." Lia said

She sighed, thinking about the lake house.

"But that does sound nice." Lia said

"Master?" Ahsoka called

The two turned around to see her waiting on a gunship.

"I have to go." Anakin said

He turned around and ran towards the gunship, jumped on it and turned around to wave at Lia. She waved back before making her way onto her own transport back to Coruscant.
