𝐒𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐒 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐓, 𝖺𝗇𝖺𝗄𝗂𝗇 𝗌𝗄𝗒𝗐𝖺𝗅𝗄𝖾𝗋

Obi-Wan suddenly remembered that Ahsoka was standing there.

"My apologies, young one. It's time for a proper introduction." Obi-Wan said

"I'm the new Padawan learner. I'm Ahsoka Tano." Ahsoka introduced

"I'm Obi-Wan Kenobi, your new master." Obi-Wan said

"I'm at your service, Master Kenobi, but I'm afraid I've actually been assigned to Master Skywalker." Ahsoka said

She pointed up at Anakin, who looked at her with a shocked face. Lia chuckled to herself at her husband's reaction.

"What? No, no, no. There must be some mistake. He's the one who wanted the Padawan." Anakin said

He pointed at Obi-Wan and Ashoka crossed her arms.

"No, Master Yoda was very specific. I'm assigned to Anakin Skywalker, and he is to supervise my Jedi training." Ahsoka said

"But that doesn't make any sense." Anakin argued

"We'll have to sort this out later. It won't be long before those droids figure out a way around our cannons." Obi-Wan said

"I'll check on Rex in the lookout post." Anakin said

"You'd better take her with you." Obi-Wan said

Anakin stopped and Lia could hear him sigh before he walked on, Ahsoka following pursuit.

"You're sneaky, you know that, right?" Lia said

"I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about." Obi-Wan lied

Later, the group has reconvened around a hologram of the city.

"The shield generator is somewhere in this area." Obi-Wan said

He pointed at the hologram.

"They're slowly increasing the diameter, and keeping it just ahead of their troops." Obi-Wan explained

"Heavy cannons are gonna be useless against that." Rex pointed out

"At they get closer, I suppose we could try to draw them into the buildings. That might level the playing field a bit." Obi-Wan said

"If that shield's gonna be such a problem, why don't we just take it out?" Ahsoka asked

"Easier said than done." Rex said

"Well, I, for one, agree with her." Anakin said

Lia could tell he didn't like to agree with his new Padawan. Lia nodded in agreement.

"Yes, someone has to get to that shield generator and destroy it. That's the key." Lia said

"Right then." Obi-Wan said

He glanced at Anakin in amusement.

"Maybe you and your Padawan can tiptoe through the enemy lines and solve this particular problem together." Obi-Wan suggested

"Can do, Master Kenobi." Ahsoka said, eagerly

"I'll decide what we do." Anakin said

"If Rex, Malia, and I can engage them here." Obi-Wan said

He pointed at a spot on the hologram.

"You two might have a chance to get through their lines undetected, here." Obi-Wan said

He pointed at another spot on the hologram.

"They won't have much time. The droids far outnumber us, so our ability to street fight is limited without the use of heavy cannons. They will march forward under the protection of their shield until they are right on top of our cannons, then they'll blow them away." Rex warned

"We'll figure out a way. Come on, Master, let's go." Ahsoka said

"If we survive this, Snips, you and I are gonna have a talk." Anakin hissed

The two walked off.

"They make quite a pair, don't they?" Lia asked, amused

Rex turned to Obi-Wan.

"You think they have a chance?" Rex asked

"They better. If they can't turn off that shield generator before it reaches the heavy cannons, there'll be no escape for any of us." Obi-Wan said

Lia, Obi-Wan, and the rest of the clones watched the droid army approach them.

"That shield is certainly putting a crimp in my day." Obi-Wan said

"It's no use, sir! Even at full power the cannon doesn't affect it." Rex exclaimed

"All right, Rex. It was worth a try. Tell the men to fall back!" Obi-Wan ordered

They retreated and Lia followed Obi-Wan up into a building, and they hid behind the balustrade. The red energy shield went through them.

"We're inside the shield. Just stay away from those tanks." Obi-Wan said

He then ignited his lightsaber and Lia pulled out her blaster. She followed Obi-Wan down, shooting and destroying droids as she went. However, for every droid Lia destroyed, two took its place.

"If it continues like this, we'll need to retreat." Lia said

Rex ran over to the two.

"They're right behind us, sir! They wiped out most of my unit. We had to pull out of there." Rex said

An explosion went off and they ran further, away from the nearing droid army.

"The shield has almost reached the heavy cannons." Obi-Wan said

"We're not gonna be able to stop them, sir." Rex said

"Move your troops back to the heavy cannons. Do everything you can to protect them. Malia and I will delay the droids." Obi-Wan ordered

"But..." Rex started

"That's an order, Captain!" Obi-Wan snapped

Rex nodded and ran off. Lia sighed and pulled out her blaster, shooting at the droids again.
