Kendall went back to work after a week of being absent.
She was sure her pay would have a deduction, but that was not on her mind at the moment.
"Kendall, I've missed you!", Olivia hugged her.
Kendall smiled at the affection
"Blake has been asking about you", she said. Kendall could feel jealousy in her words.
"He's been staying up all night looking for a solution for you, ignoring me", she whispered the last part.
Kendall kept quite and sat at her work post.
She looked drained and tired, and her eyebags were getting darker and more noticeable.
"Damn, what fücked you up?", Genevieve asked.
"Gen, shut up", Olivia scolded
Genevieve rolled her eyes and went back to work.
Kendall watched as Olivia moved away, and began her work.

The voice chuckled, sending a shiver around Kendall.
She clutched her pen tightly and took in several breaths.
In.......Out......In......Out
She repeated the pattern until her heart had finally calmed down.
She straightened up, and began a busy day.

"Miss Kendall, you have missed work for a week now, is there a proper reason for this?", Her manager asked.
"Mr. Grayson-"
"Hayden, I told you to call me Hayden".
"Unfortunately, I cannot Mr. Grayson"
Hayden gave out a loud sigh
"Kendall why can't you understand-"
"This is a work environment Mr. Grayson, and I suggest we keep it formal", she ended the small talk.
Hayden rubbed his forehead, and stared at Kendall.
It wasn't that Hayden wasn't handsome.
He was incredibly handsome and had the perfect qualities of a loving husband, the perfect son-in-law.
But he was her boss, and she was determined to keep their relationship only business.
"Mr. Grayson, I was under the weather, so I was not able to arrive at work-"
"Are you feeling any better?", He asked concerned.
"Yes, and I understand if you cut my pay-"
"No, I will do no such thing"
"Then I will be taking my leave, thank you", she bowed before moving to go back to work.
"Kendall, please... Just one date"
He pleaded
Kendall knew of his crush on her, but she was scared.
And her current mental health was unstable and not ready for a relationship.
